    Up 4 from LIW.
    Not really sure was caused the jump yesterday

    I was up a pound today - but had the saltiest bacon of my life yesterday (and alot of it)

    Other than that ate pretty normal, hopefully it tapers back down tomorrow.

    Still 5-6 under LDW.

    Darn it! I was DOWN 1 lb after my 8 oz filet and kettle corn. I was on my feet at a conference in Vegas but I didn't have my calorie counter on. Hopefully I can let this day slide and finish a strong P2

    Finally starting a downward trend in my final week of P3. I gained nearly 6# during the first week or so and am now down 4# in the past few days. My LDW was 197.6 so I am less than 1 lb. from that today. Still keeping close to 12000-1400 cal. per day so it seems to be working now...I hope it continues. I am still shooting for another 10 -15 #s to get to my final target weight but I am in hurry. My body is still trying to deal with the loss of nearly 30 #s in a few weeks so a slow gradual loss would be fine with me. The trick is to be able to do it when I get into P4 next week. Carbs are a killer for me it seems so I plan on keeping away from them as much as possible.

    My problem is a carbohydrate addiction that gets out of control after several months of maintaining my new weight. I guess the saying about the definition of insanity would be my mantra ...i.e., doing the same thing over and over but expecting a different result. This time will be different....I will stay "bad grain" free and sugar free.

    Carbs are my killer too.....

    If I just stay away from them I should lose weight. However I may need to get some running in soon (I need to regardless) and then it should kick start the body again into some more weight loss.

    I went up a couple of pounds in my last week too. In my case I think it was because I was so close to a long-time former weight and my body just did not want to go below it. When I did, I could not hold it until several days later when I lost again and fell below my old weight number. In P3 I had the same problem so far. I am in week 3 and gained back up to my old weight and stayed around it for a week. All of a sudden I dropped 4 pounds in the past few days.

    Don't get discouraged...hang in there and stay to your diet. You will be rewarded at some point.

    Great to hear your steak day was successful. I am up 0.4 today so I am officially 2+ over my LDW. I will just stick to my current diet though as it seems to be working at this point. I may add some more food as yesterday I was under 1000 calories. It was a busy day and I find it almost impossible to eat out and stay within protocol in a very small town while running around all day. I also was out in the 104 degree heat a good part of the day so that may be part of it too...water retention due to perspiration and too little food.

    So on sunday i conservativly ate 5000 calories and dropped 3 pounds. Yesterday i ate 2000 and didnt drop any. this is a strancge paradigm.

    Reading the ketosis book it states that it takes 3 weeks to deplete your glucose. that says to me a lot about how often you NEED to eat carbs.
