I have one question, tongue in cheek perhaps: am I the only person who ever did HCG and went number 2 every day? I have heard from so many people that they would go 3-4 days between bowel movements, but I have been just as regular as always! lol
No loading except 5 Guys the night before we went VLCD. Weigh ins started on 1st day of VLCD
So HCG started on Day 1, VLCD on Day 3
Weight on morning of Day 3: 220.0
Weight on morning of Day 38: 193.6 (last dose)
    Total loss: 26.4

GMan... I'd say I do number 2 - at least 5/7 days a week most weeks, while on HCG... prior to HCG it was every 4 or 5 days...

so its a change for me...

I think to answer my own question regarding injuries... Just be safe I'll start taking "1 a days", 1000mg Vitamin C, and a Calcium, Magnesium & Zinc, Tablet once a day till I am healed...

    Hi All,

Thank goodness I found "The Cave", if I read one more post about TOM or PMS I think I would have walked away.

I have over the past 3 days read this entire thread, so much good info, I am sure that men must approach this diet different than women, we have different needs, higher Muscle mass requires a different diet, fat is stored in different ways, so we must adapt the diet to suit our male needs.

I am still waiting for my HCG to arrive, I have ordered two lots as I am in Australia and not to confident on getting either, I have 3 vials of 5000Iu Rx HCg and 2 bottles of 480 pellets.

I will use whatever (if any) comes through first, I hope I dont need more than one round, but want enough to make it a long round if required.

I am on a pretty tight diet at the moment, still supposed to be 1800cal, but I dont make it there too often, but I dont eat any of the following.

Refined Sugar or artifical sweetener (natural sugar in fruit not counted)
Added salt of any kind, no salted products like nuts or bacon etc, NONE.
Processed or preserved meats, (bacon, sausage, sallami etc) NONE. these things are bowel cancer waiting to happen.
Alcohol or soft (fizzy) drinks af any sort, I miss red wine soo much.
Breads, rice, pasta, corn chips, crisps, potato, pumpkin or other high carb/starch items.
Any sauces that contain MSG or sugar or oil, chicken or beef stock (msg and salt) or any preservitives of any kind.

So what does that leave me:
Fruit, mainly apples for the fibre and low GI, but other fruit if I feel like it.
Tuna, lots of tuna, no oil.
    Chicken, breast meat only.
Beef, yummo, lean beef is the best.
White fish, baked in foil or on dry BBQ with lemon.
    Mushrooms, lots of them
Any veg not listed above but mainly sweet potato, brocoli, couliflower, spinich, cabbage, capsicum (bell pepper) tomato ( I know its a fruit), jalapeno chillies (lots and lots of these)
Eggs, dry fried or boiled, about 12 to 18 per week.
Low fat milk or skim, but not much, no butter.
    olives, whole in vinigar.

I dont eat a lot of meat at the moment, trying to stick to a raw veg and low meat diet for 2 weeks to see if I can shock my system into dropping weight again, I have been stuck at 235# for 4 week now, the fat is going away, the inches are dropping but weight is staying the same, I am hitting training pretty hard and have increased muscle mass quite abit over the past 6 months.

I use olive oil if required to cook, alot of the veg is eaten raw, if not raw, very lightly steamed (under 1 min ) in microwave, just warm really but still firm to hard.

I also drink Green tea, about 6 cups per day and LOTS of water, an average of 6 to 8 liters, (about 1.5 - 2 gallons) per 24 hours.

I am 42 yrs old, live on the East Coast of Australia, around an area know as the "Hunter Valley", full of coal mines and vineyards, great part of the world, climate like California.

I am still not 100% sure I need to do the HCG diet, I am at 235 now and 200 is my lower lower goal, 210 would be fine, my main goal is to get mid teen body fat%, I am at 21-22% now, I am 6' tall with 18" biceps, 18" calfs, 36" thighs and a 38" waist, 48" chest, so I am of a solid build.

Your thoughts and imput would be appreciated.

Not sure about the shots, but if you are on the homeopathic drops or pellets you would increase your dosage to decrease your hunger!!

Does it create any feminine side on men.. you know what I mean. I have heard that HCG can lead to enlargement of prostrate in men, mood-swings, craving for food and hair loss,. Has any one experienced such symptoms ? lastly talking about hygiene, I also learnt that hormone for the HCG drops are derived from urine itself, hence i am bit nervous about its hygiene and I have purchased the HCG from hcgwholesaledirect.net, has any one purchased them?

By all means I am not being disrespectful towards HCG products and the hcg users here , I just wanted to know your honest opinion and experience using this product. Kindly advice that way I can rest my fears and join this journey my self.
As I read through the posts I see that most of your concerns were answered.. so I wont repeat em...

If you are taking homeopathic drops then you have no worries about hygiene in regards to urine... Homeopathics go through a dilution process.. Look at the labels on your bottle.. it should say something like 30x or 60x... To dilute the homeopathic one drop of the ingredient (in this case hcg) is mixed with 99 drops of water and or alchohol.. then one drop of that mixture is again mixed with 99 drops of water... this process is repeated X times... Once it is repeated over 23 times not one atom of the original element is physically in the homeopathic, all that is left is the frequency of the original element...

    Hope that helps.

I know there is a lot of debate our there regarding the difference between HHCG and RX HCG and I would like to put a vote out there in favor of RX HCG just for the record.
It is not that much more expensive as well as the timing to get it from oversea's (Darn XO^&%$#$% Government Regulations).
I think if you are going to go on the protocol, you might as well do it with the best tools available.
There are too many fake HHCG distributors out there.

Did a Steak Day yesterday and lost 2.5lbs, it is a good day today.

I am finding that going out to eat is very difficult for me due to sugar and gluten sensitivities.
Almost everything you get at a restaurant has sugar as well as gluten and it makes it very difficult to eat clean.

Thinking of going Paleo/Primal but need to do a little more research before I jump in.
Seems to be a lot of momentum in these areas on the forum for these types of long term habit changes.

Eugene, I am not sure I would do it if I were you...you have a 10" spread between chest and waist, and you have a small waist for someone at 250lbs.

I on the other hand, do not look fat, but my chest is 42", my waist, is about 41" and my hips are 41" also. So I need to get the fat off the middle, mostly around the sides and back, hence going on the HCG diet.

    Hey Gary,

I need to read up on that Paleo stuff. I was doing bodybuilding for a while, and I found that if I ate almost no starch, and loaded up on protein and healthy fat, I tended to feel better. I am talking 5-10 whole eggs a day, coconut or macadamia nut oil, nuts, etc, plus lots of meat and chicken. Veggies limited to green ones mostly. Of course, you can;'t keep that up forever, as it is no fun missing out on life by having a drink, or eating dessert once in a while.

But I do think if you ate this way M-F, and then let a little off the gas on the weekends, in the long run, you would maintain pretty well. I just let the weekends start slipping into the week. I was completely backwards by the time I went on the HCG diet. 5 bad days, and 2 good ones! lol

This morning, I had only dropped .1 lbs. I ate 2-3 extra Wasa crackers at work yesterday(they are much easier to eat too many of than a breadstick). But I did walk 30 minutes in the morning and 30 minutes in the evening. I am not too worried because my theory is, on this diet, there is no way a man is not going to lose at least .5lbs a day on average, and any time you lose more or less on the scale, it is due to variances in how much water you're carrying. Not sure, but I don't see any way that 40 calories of wasa crackers kept me from losing weight!

Edit: what i mean to convey is that even without HCG, a man would lose .5 a day. 2400 to maintain, less 600 taken in = 1800 deficit per day. Every two days would be a 3600 lb deficit, meaning a half pound a day

    GMan,
I agree about the Paleo/Primal during the week and then "relaxing" on the weekend as long as you do it in moderation.
(i.e. Don't float the keg by yourself!)

It is good to shock you system ever so often to keep from keeping it in a routine.

You need to have variation in your food as well as your routines. Having a few drinks on the weekend as well as a few extra carbs will work long term as long as you do not overdo it as well as keep up some sort of conditioning be it weight, cardio or just being outside having fun.

I am out of state for a week visiting family so I understand all about trying to eat out and stay clean. I am eating mostly salads and after I get back to my room I wolf down some protein bars. During the day I snack on almonds and turkey jerky being back in the South it seems like the natural thing to do....chew and talk Turkey

My mother lives back here in a nursing home and this is my semiannual visit to help her out and visit awhile.

Nice to see some new members joining the group and taking some interest in posting. Most men are by nature not excessive posters so this thread is pretty small compared with many of the others on the forum. Yes, men are different in many ways from women; muscle mass, hormone differences, and social differences, so it is nice to have a place for the guys to come and talk about what is important to our diet and discuss what we want with the focus on sharing information and alleviating concerns and questions about the diet. I am no expert but have read a ton of information about HCG and many many other diet/lifestyle related topics on and off this forum. I appreciate the exchange of information and while I may not agree with all of it, (especially homopathetic hcg), I have learned a lot about what I need to do to keep my body from killing me. Keep up the great work you guys.

Jonathan, we miss you man...hope you are doing OK. Drop back in at let us how you are doing.

But eat P3 1/2 or I will be back to P1 again...

My problem is a carbohydrate addiction that gets out of control after several months of maintaining my new weight. I guess the saying about the definition of insanity would be my mantra ...i.e., doing the same thing over and over but expecting a different result. This time will be different....I will stay "bad grain" free and sugar free.
