Thread: Back with another round

  1. #13
Good morning, all. Time for a Monday update:

Weight is down to 218.9. My goal for the first portion of this round was to be between 218-219 and I am officially there. At the same point in my February round I was 2lbs higher so slightly ahead of pace. None of that really means anything but I like improvements and will take them. Also, the tailor's tape is a half pound improvement on hips and waist. Here are the numbers so far

Post load weight: 238.2 Today 218.9
Post load hips: 41" Today 37.5
Post load waist: 38" Today 34.5
Post load thighs: 23" Today 22.5

That leaves only the decision of whether today is last dose day or not before transitioning on to my planned interruption. I would really like to. That way, Wednesday night would be my first, non VLCD meal before tennis. But my wife really wants to call tomorrow the LDD. Especially now that she gained .5lb this morning. She is in a very good place weight wise but wants to have one more day to get just a little lighter. My decision is to wait until tomorrows weigh in to make up my mind. If the scale stays at 218.9 or even a slight bump up, I will go with today's weight and stop taking doses. Any downward bump at all, and I record tomorrow as LDD with first regular meal being Thursday night. Sounds like a good plan, especially since this isn't the end of the round and I have the January portion to work towards my ultimate target of 209. That would give me a total weight loss of 30lbs for this round which I believe is the maximum loss recommended. Not sure because I have never done a long round and am usually around 20lbs lost.

My wife has commented several times how easy this round has been. And I would have to agree. I would say that this protocol is never easy but this one has gone more smoothly than past rounds. At least relatively and considering all. But it has felt really good to do this during the holiday season. Very satisfying.

I dreamed last night that I took down an entire bag of pretzel sticks in one sitting. Woke up in a panic dreading the scale. Whew.

Great update, your reasoning on how to start the interruption makes sense. Just popping in here to say that the max loss for an HCG round is 34 pounds.

great thanks for that. I know it was somewhere around 30. If I could get to 34, that would be great but not totally necessary. would be happy with 30

This morning, down .6lbs for a weight of 218.3. Calling today last dose day and making that number official. 19.9lbs lost from post load. Pre load was 242 so really not counting that. Doesn't matter any way. In a good place.

But I am not done. Really excited to enjoy the holidays 20lbs lighter and inches thinner. Also very excited to pick things back up on January 3 for 10-14 days of VLCD. The length of the continuing round will come down to attitude. From this vantage point, I would love to get as close to 40 days as possible.

Question for Leez or any admins: Does a 40 day round with a near 2 week PI still bring about the usual benefits of better stabilization like a 40 day consecutive round? I guess it wouldn't be the same but I am looking for a stronger stabilization than shorter rounds for sure.

I'm not sure there are any stats on it, but the protocol says the interruption has no effect on the process. I'm assuming that means if it is done correctly. You should stabilize well either way. It is a good question, because on the round that takes you to goal, you definitely want to achieve the most solid stabilization possible.

My reasoning is if your weight stays stable during the interruption, it should help the final stabilization be more solid, but I don't have anything concrete to back that up.

I've always had great success with interuptions and stabilization, which i've done similar to you, by finishing up with 10-14 daus after resuming, and losing 5-7 moire lbs. during that time.

WB, I've done planned interruptions through out this year and haven't found them to cause any difficulties with stablizations. Great job! Happy Holidays everyone!

Update: A few days into my planned interruption. LDW was 218.3. This morning's weight is 219.3. Day after Christmas was at 220.2. All things considered that is good as Christmas is always a feast.

Wife and I area heading out of town this weekend for a nice New Years vacation. The town we stay in can be tough to get a table at a good restaurant on New Years eve so we are cooking steaks at our Airbnb. Really looking forward to that.

    Back on protocol next Monday.

I can attest to Leez's statement that she can't back up with the fact that during my few 10-12 day interruptions, I always remainded stable during that time by following P3 guidlines, and jumped right back in and went on to lose 5-7 pounds and stabilized after that with no issues except my sensitivities, which have been reduced cosiderably since I got the Pfizer covid vaccine last summer - lol!

Post vaccine, I can now eat some of my most sensitive foods that I had for years such as berries, salmon, eggs, chicken wings, broccoli, cauliflower, the list goes on without the big gains I use to have. I've also recent done the food sensitivity blood test again, and nothing is highly sensitive any more, and even my moderately sensitive items list has been reduced to only 10 items, when in the past the same test showed at least twice that many.
