    Just starting out!!

Hey everyone, I am on my 2nd day phase 2. This is my first time using HCG. My doctor also gave me Phentermine for the first week to help with the cravings. I started at 277 lbs and i'm down to 272 after the first day. I don't get any cravings at all. I was really worried about the amount of food you are limited to on this but I am amazed that it hasn't been an issue. I know it won't continue like this but it's a great start. I will try to keep everyone updated on how my journey goes.

Congrats on being off to a great start.

If your dose is right for you, you won't have cravings or hunger on HCG. In fact, those are some of the indicators that you need to adjust your dose to keep losing well. Appetite suppressants like phentermine can mask those important clues and are therefore not a good idea to use during the protocol.

Its normal to feel a bit of hunger the first week on the low calorie diet. It is also normal to feel a bit of hunger at regular mealtimes. However, the rest of the time, you won't be hungry or obsessing about food. Some people even forget to eat during P2, or can't finish the allowed portions.

Hey everyone, just giving an update. So it's day 5 P2 and I am down 17 lbs. I have absolutely no cravings and I don't really get that hungry. Only around meal times but my meals are more than enough. I actually have a hard time finishing sometimes. I feel really good and my energy levels are great. I am amazed that I could go from 3000+ calories down to 500 and it isn't a problem. I will keep you updated!!

    Great report, nickg!

17 pounds in 5 days means you had some massive inflammation and were retaining a lot of water. This could have come from inflammatory foods ( lots of sugars and transfats for instance) during loading, or could be a sign that you have regularly been eating things that your body is sensitive to. When you get to P3, you have an opportunity to figure out what those particular foods are.

You are doing great, but with such a massive first week loss, don't be concerned in week 2-3 if your body takes a break from losing and you hit a spell of slow or no loss days. That happens because your body needs to catch up to the big loss from week one. Its perfectly normal and expected and you don't need to do anything other than stay on protocol.

Hey guys, I don't know what's going on but today I am starving. It's day 8 and I haven't been hungry or had any cravings until today. Is this normal?

What dose are you on? Have you skipped a day of hcg yet? If you're doing a longer round, you should skip one day a week of taking your shot (or whatever form you are taking it in).

I'm taking 200 iu's a day. I'm doing six weeks and haven't skipped a day. My doctor didn't say anything about skipping a day.

It sounds like you need a dose adjustment. 200iu is too high for most people.

Skip your dose tomorrow. You should be feeling better around 4pm and into the early evening. If that is what happens, reduce your dose the next day. 150iu is usually a good dose for most people.

The protocol requires one skip day a week if doing the 40 dose round. You can use your skip day tomorrow as your first one. The skip days guard you against immunity, and also allow you to extend your losing time a few more days, as you keep losing on the skip days.
