I've lost 7.4 lbs so far and though I have had the urge to snack once in a while (because it's a longtime habit), hunger has not been a problem.

You say that the protocol is the same for all forms of HCG, but my VLCD allows no dairy whatsoever and strongly advises people to avoid gluten, too (which I am -- it's not a big deal on this diet). Plus, there is no mention of Phase 1. Some of the cookbooks I have discovered through this forum say they strictly follow the protocol, yet they are filled with recipes that include ingredients that I don't see on the food list. So, I'm very confused as to whether people using other forms of HCG are being given different rules/guidelines to follow and therefore I shouldn't heed their advice as to what's "legal" and what isn't.
it's very odd to have hhcg that you take twice a day. i don't know of any other drops that do that. when we say the protocol is the same, we're referring to the original protocol (food list posted above). many different manufacturer's/clinics change the acceptable food list, but there is nothing to back up those changes. many people skip the bread because gluten sensitivity has become so common that most people lose better without it. they might recommend you skip dairy for the same reason. when you see a recipe, you have to decide if you're willing to have that "rogue" ingredient. there are clinics out there now that allow some vegetables like broccoli, cauliflower and zucchini. some allow diet soda, which dr. s. probably would have allowed (it wasn't made then) even though it's not good for you in general.

Thanks for the feedback, both of you! I have now read Dr. Simeon's manuscript, and I have a much better understanding of where everyone here is coming from as a result.

I'm on round2 and using the HCG Platinum purchased at GNC. Round 1 I did injections from a local clinic. $750 later I had lost almost 30 lbs. I started round 2 12/31 (upload) and I've lost almost 17 lbs and hoping to get atleast 10 more lbs off this round. I'm thinking of doing the injections again for round 3 because it's so much easier.

Does the weight loss for each consecutive round become less?

it's frequently less, because you lose a lot of water weight that first round when you first give up carbs. most people don't resume eating carbs to that extent, so you have less water weight to lose in R2. if you didn't eat many carbs to start with, your losses should be similar. but you also might lose more slowly as you get closer to your goal weight.

I read somewhere today how someone used HHCG method and learned the fat of muscle tissue was being eaten up? (Not sure of terms used) Also other good fat that should not be used. First of all, how would one know if this were the case? Is there a way to know if your body is reacting positively or negatively to the diet and drops during the regimen? Or is is complications after the fact? Any help is appreciated.

jfm, this is an ongoing controversy...do we lose muscle or don't we. We all lose muscle as we lose fat....reality is you don't need as much muscle to haul around a lower body weight. it would be nice to still have all the muscle at 150 lbs that you had at 240 lbs....but it doesn't work that way. There are several threads on here about losing muscle mass. I am on the side of not losing much muscle mass....but I have always had alot of muscle...was a semi pro dancer from the age of 4....so was very athletic. Those who weren't as athletic seem to think they lose more muscle. Dont know the answer...time will tell. But you will lose muscle...just because your body doesn't need as much as you get thinner. Things to ponder. Good luck!

I'm new to this. I got the hcg from a friend and followed instructions: Corion 5000 ampule.
I added 30 ml sterile water to bottle
I added additional 1 ml to the ampule and gently rolled, then added that 1 ml in the ampule to the water.

I am injecting 1 ml in the morning. What strength am I at? I'm fighting some hunger my first 3 days on p2.

unfortunately that's an odd way to mix, because it makes it hard to adjust your dose if needed. 5000 iu's div by 31cc's = 161 iu's per cc. that is generally too high for corion. we generally start that brand at 150 iu's, which would be .93.

are you on your third low calorie day, or your third day of the diet which would be your first low-cal day? if you're on your third low-cal day, i'd skip your dose tomorrow. if you're less hungry, then inject .93 the following day.

if this is your first low-cal day i'd still drop to .93, but don't skip tomorrow.

For sub- injections I noticed better results when I inject in my thigh instead of my belly. Anyone else notice a difference due to injection locations? And is there a scientific reason why? I know fat ratio plays a part. I am just curious if anyone else has noticed the same thing.

I did about in my thigh recently, then I've done 4 days in my tummy. Shifting back to the thigh tomorrow and I'll see if a notice a difference

we've had this discussion a lot, and the forum will drift one direction for a while, then the other. i think it depends on the person and what kind of fat you're injecting into. studies show subq injections are absorbed a bit better in the belly, but i don't think it makes a lot of difference.

I notice a difference even in different places on my belly... if I inject above the navel or below.
