Thread: Candida Cleanse?

    Candida Cleanse?

I am waiting for my hcg to arrive and have thought of doing a candida cleanse. I am constantly craving sweets! Has anyone do one and if so, would you recommend it? What did you use? Would you recommend doing the cleanse before starting the protocol or after? Thanks for your help!

Sorry, I don't have an answer for you. But I was wanting to do this too. I know I have candida problems. But I am on day 8 of p2. I wonder if I can do it now or do I have to wait.

I was in p2 when I started and it did not effect my losses.

I dont have the name of what I use now but I can get it when I get home.

I did not take any candida cleanse products, but one of the major reasons I decided to do the HCG protocol was to cleanse my system of candida.

You shouldn't need anything extra to cleanse the candida out - it will die off once you are on the protocol due to the total lack of sugars and starches on P2. For me, the candida die-off happened around VLCD10. I felt utterly miserable when the die-off happened and took a bottle of magnesium citrate to flush it all out of my system. After that, I made sure to add some good probiotics to help encourage a healthy growth of fauna in my stomach. Quelsen gets all the credit for the advice during this period - he researched what was happening to me and pointed me towards the correct things to take.

What surprised me is how dramatic the improvement was once the die-off was over. I'm more mentally alert, I sleep more soundly, I wake up in the morning and feel alert, not groggy. My coffee consumption cut in half over night. I'm a believer!

I fought systemic Candida for years. Spent lots and lots of money on cleanses, acidopholis, diflucan (antifungal which is toxic to the liver), plus all sorts of bottles of various candida cures. Finally, one day I did some research and read that Colloidal Silver is rated a "3" out of 3 for treating Candida. I actually had a 8 oz sealed bottle of it in my fridge for about 7 years. Got it from a chiropractor for an ear problem but never used it. So I starting taking some--like 2 tablespoons once or twice a day for 2 1/2 weeks until the bottle was gone. By the time the bottle was empty, my symptoms were also gone. So I now take a maintenance dose just in case it starts to come back. The silver I used was 15 PPM strength. The one I use now is 20 PPM by MesoSilver. I believe this brand is rated pretty high for being the real deal. This type of authentic colloidal silver will NOT turn you blue. It's the homemade ones that are not true colloidals that very rarely cause blue/purple discoloration of the skin.

And my sugar cravings are pretty much gone. This diet has also helped to keep the candida in check as I'm eating so healthy. The last candida diet I was on under my doctor's supervison, I was not even allowed to eat fruit except for blueberries after some time had passed. And that candida diet didn't work anyway. Now I can eat fruit without any problems after using the CS.

Yes, I believe you could use this during P2 as it is simply water with suspended microscopic silver particles in it. I am currently using MesoSilver after doing a lot of research on which brands were the best. I only use a little bit as a maintenance dose once or twice a week. I think I bought it for under $25 plus shipping. Actually, I bought 4 smaller (250 ML) bottles for $21.97 and they cost less than two 500 ML size bottles. I recommend getting 2 bottles. Use one over a couple of weeks time and use the other for occasional maintenance. I got mine here: http://www.purestcolloids.com/mesosilver.php

    Hope this helps!!

some sugar cravings are just from being used to eating a lot of carbs- and those should decrease with the diet. but i've done a bunch of rounds and still crave sugar as badly as ever- so just the diet alone will not solve the problem for all. depending on how bad your problem is you might need a cleanse, prescription meds, or a special diet for months (even years) to control the problem.

Just wanna mention that I did all those things for YEARS--cleanses, Diflucan (got it by the bottle--not 1 at a time), Nystatin etc. and went on a 4 month Candida diet under a doctor's care which I followed to the "T" yet the candida persisted after just a small improvement. I had it all over my body and would get red raw sores under any & all folds of skin. My scalp, feet, toes & always itched. I had it internally in the area of the large colon yet interestingly did not struggle with typical "yeast infections." After 2 weeks of taking almost 8 oz of 15 ppm Colloidal Silver, I could feel an intense itching inside me for about a 1/2 hour. I wondered if I had totally screwed myself by using the CS. Then suddenly, the itching stopped--completely. And I haven't had candida symptoms for about 4 months now. I continue taking a few tablespoons per week just to make sure it does not return. No more oozing sores under my "girls" or anywhere else. I could kick myself for not using it sooner as it had been in my fridge for about 7 years (unopened) and still worked so well. I've spent thousands of dollars on this problem over the years. One bottle of CSilver costs the same as one bottle of acidophilus which is what I used (dozens and dozens of bottles of it) to try to keep the candida at bay for years. My sugar cravings are mostly gone now. Of course, this diet is also helping me in that regard--reducing my desire for cake & cookies--but I really think getting the Candida under control has made a huge difference for my cravings.

As of today, I've lost 50 lbs since mid-June!! Whoo Hoo!!! I start maintenance Saturday and I've already bought uncured BACON for my first meal!! I miss bacon & eggs more than cookies!!

I have no idea if I have this or not - no real symptoms that I know of but just kind of figured it couldn't hurt to take some of the CS ... just in case. The bummer is that I had a bottle of it for years (got it for an odd rash that I would get in the winters and cause my girls to itch but I likely used it incorrectly as I applied topically). I'm pretty sure I threw it away.

I'll check it out - anything I can do to help avoid sugar cravings (tho they are diminished big time) I'm game to try it.

Hey, if you visit the Purest Colloidal site, check out the Colloidal Gold too. Here is the history on its use: " In the nineteenth century, Colloidal Gold was commonly used in the United States to cure alcoholism (then called dipsomania, defined as the uncontrollable craving for alcoholic liquors), and today it is used to reduce dependency on alcohol, caffeine, nicotine, and carbohydrates." Carbs have been my nemesis for a long time too...love the bread!
