    Cheat meal

I am just wondering, if I know that I am going to have a cheat meal (birthday dinner) do I continue with the drops like usual, or should I take the day/afternoon off the drops?

Of course I will try and eat smart when I cheat, however I will not be able to follow exact protocol during this meal. I’m aware that there will be a set back.

    Thanks!

Personally, I don't think cheating is worth it. There is always a way to stay on plan if you are motivated enough.

Thank you for the link, it was helpful.

I have gone 3 weeks without a cheat at all and tomorrow is my birthday and I am going for dinner. I will probably order a chicken Caesar salad with light dressing, no parm, croutons or bacon. But it’s not going to be a perfect meal. Also, how do I say no to my own bday cake!?

By saying "yes" to wearing a smaller size, and looking feeling better than the taste of birthday cake. Part of being successful with weight loss is learning that we sometimes have to defer eating what we want when we want it, or because a certain holiday or date(birthday, anniversary, etc.) on the calendar says what we should eat that day. Go ahead and get the salad with vinegar and lemon juice if you must have dressing. Ask the restaurant or your husband if they can bring you a small bowl of strawberries instead, which won't cause the gain and 5 days of no losses this cheat could set you back.

You don't have to say no. You can say, "later". Take the cake home, freeze it and celebrate after you finish P3.
