Clinic gave expired vial. Told me to wait 5 days???

I started my current round on 4/5. As of today, I've only lost 3lbs (12 injections). I'm not new to injections and have never had this kind of problem losing, especially in the first 2 weeks. I looked at my vial, and sure enough, expired on 4/13. The clinic where I purchase my injections said it should still be good, but i made them give me a new vial. It is 6000 units mixed with 5ml. I inject 100 based on my previous round. I was hungry in the beginning but that has since tapered off some, not fully though as I am hungry in the morning and have what I call chest hunger. Also, I clean loaded and did not gain an ounce.

The clinic told me to stop the injections, wait 5 days to start the new vial, and not load again. What would be the purpose of this? The nurse said it was to "reset" my body so it would be like starting a brand new round. I'm confused on what I should do. I know the most weight loss comes in the first 7-10 days and then tapers off. I'm worried I will extend my round and not see real weight loss.
Has anyone ever had this happen? What should I do? I dont want to wait obviously since they already mixed the new vial. I hope Leez or Grammy1952 can give some advice.
    Thank you!!
Also, I am 10lbs from goal

I don't see any purpose in the break. The instructions you were given can't even be interpreted as an "interruption". I have no idea why they think you need to do that. Even if it was "like starting a brand new round", you would still have to adhere to the 40 dose maximum for your round. That means you could only take 28 more doses of the new HCG.

There was probably nothing wrong with the HCG that had the expiration. That is just the last date the manufacturer will guarantee potency. The product is actually good much longer than that, years longer, in fact. What could have affected it is if it was mixed long before they gave it to you. HCG is only good for about 30 days after mixing, and can start to lose potency even after a couple of weeks.

But if stale mix is not an issue, and you are having poor losses, it is probably due to your dose not being optimum. The hunger you have had is a sign of that.

According to your mixture (6000iu to 5 ml bacteriostatic water), 100 on your syringe means you are taking 125iu. That is a normal dose.

You can test your dose by doing a skip day. If your hunger disappears by 4pm and into the evening (assuming you take your HCG in the morning), then you need to lower your dose. If you get hungrier by that time, then you need to raise your dose the next day.

Thank you so much! I couldn't understand why the 5 days off would be helpful.
The way I calculated my dose, I am injecting 100iu (.08 on syringe). The vial is 6000iu mixed with 5ml for 24 days. If I injected per their instructions, my dose would be 300iu! Initially I was injecting .09 but dropped to .08 because I was hungry after eating and read that would indicate a dose too high. Is 100iu too low? Could this be why my losses are non-existent?
I used the new vial today at .08 (100iu) and have not been hungry since (I was starving before my dose). It is 3:30 and I'm still not hungry. Should I still skip tomorrow's injection?
I had planned to do a 28-30 day round but will extend to 40 injections total if I can start losing.

    To check your math:

100iu is not to low. You can go as low as 80iu if needed.

It does sound like you were too high. I'd continue at 100iu and see if you can settle there. You don't have a lot of leeway left, so lets see how the 100iu dose works for you.

    Just wanted to update...
I do believe my first vial of injections was a dud. I started the new vial on Wednesday at the same dose (100iu) and I am down 4.6lbs since then, no hunger, energetic, sleeping well.
Thanks so much for all your guidance. I am stoked to keep losing!!
