    We did have it last night, I used regular coco powder mixed with dark coco powder, it was not that sweet, but good. Tues are a busy and stressful day for me, and I hope next week wont be as stressful. I have noticed that when I am stressed or get irritated I start to get hungry, or maybe that could be emotional hunger?? Anyway, about 20 minutes after I ate it, I did feel better- like the oil was heavy in my veins, lol. We both did a tablespoon each. I have never heard of using vanilla in it. I did loose 1.8lbs. So that is good. Right now I am on a race though- my husband has lost double what I have, and we need to be in maintenance together and I absolutely am not trying to be cooking him maintenance food and I am still eating 500 calories, that is set up for disaster! Never thought about that dilemma-what to do, what to do? Any suggestions?

    I made my first batch of cocoa crack yesterday, hoping to break a stall, and it DID NOT agree with my stomach in the least. I was up hours and hours last night and still in the bathroom until noon today. Definitely my first and last experiment with crack!

    You should probably give up on the race. Men lose faster, it's just a simple fact. Both of you should still finish your rounds at the same time and you can go through P3 together. Then if he's at goal when you return yes there will be a menu difference.

    I tried it and hated it, only had about a 1/4-1/2" square and threw the rest away. Had the same result as you even from that little bit. Had horrible stomach cramps and bathroom issues. I think it's the stevia.

    I didn't use it my first round, but I have this round. I have it in a spray can. I use it to spray on my meat before I cook it, so that it doesn't stick. However I have not ate Cocoa Crack on P2. When I use it I still see losses.

    In the middle of a 8 day stall. If it continues I am going to try cocoa crack tomorrow.

    I would tonight, but I already upped my protein for the day.

    I've used it and it seems to help me with the clogging that comes with the HCG Diet! :-)

    I tried it tonight to see if it would give me a much needed energy boost. I was fading fast. I feel better but we will have to see if I lose or gain tomorrow.

    Coconut oil is made up of medium chain triglycerides hence the MCT thats extracted from it. Long chain fatty acids have been known to block thyroid function but medium chain fatty acids dont have this effect. They actually increase metabolism and raise basal body temps. Coconut oil being a medium chain fatty acid doesn't need to be broken down by enzymes like long chain fatty acids do preventing the oxidizing effect which can cause inflammation and blocking of various hormones in the body.

    Many studies on fertility have shown coconut oil has a positive effect on balancing the hormones. Many clinics now suggest there clients switch to coconut oils. Until recently coconut oil has been misunderstood in the medical community. So its unlikely Dr S knew anything about the benefits of coconut oil or MCT.

    That being said, there is still a reason Dr S wrote the protocol the way he did and it seems to work. I decided to only use coconut oil to knock me off a stall but not daily until I got to P3. My son and my best friend ate a piece of hard cheddar cheese to knock them off their stalls. I dont think its the actual food that breaks it. The body gets used to functioning one way because of the limited diet and it adapts. Throwing a small amount of something into to it sort of shocks it out of that function and forces it to react differently.

    Its my opinion you can knock yourself off a stall with almost any food as long as you just have a small amount of it and then return to protocol.

    I Love love love Coconut oil! I was hesitant to use it at first but I've seen GREAT losses since I started using it. Plus it's filling and makes my chicken & shrimp taste amazing. SO glad I tried this! I'm on day VLCD 9 of my 2nd round and the first week I was having pretty crappy losses. I started adding in Coconut oil and voila! at least 1 lb loss per day and this morning I had a 2.6 lb loss! Fantastic!
