I wanted to explain to those who want to decide to cheat what it Costs. This is just FYI..

I went from 301 pounds at the beginning of June, in two rounds I got down to 229, I was only at 229 for a second, so lets say 331. That is 70 pounds.. I worked very hard to get there and there were days when I just wanted something, there were cravings, stress, pms as so on.
I was in p3 for Thanksgiving, and then around p4 around Christmas time. Now I am a cake decorator and have access to cheesecake and the best cakes you can imagine. I can get a very good price on them sometimes and bring them home to my family. I was in the end of p3 going to p4 and said to myself, "oh your going back on the protocol go ahead and go all out," I ate lots of cakerie cake, cream, chocolate, I ate a lot but by no means the whole cake, just some large pieces, I had a few sugar cookies. I can't remember everything but I just ate the sweets that I wanted, I was also checking to see what would happen. Within a couple of weeks I went up 18 pounds.
I started round 3 at 248. I could have been at 231, but because I, "chose," to do this, it took me around a week and a half of round 3 to take it off, the 18 pounds did come off very quickly.
Next, two week ago I had bad pms, I had brought home a rasperry cheesecake for the boys, decided to cheat on two big pieces, I gained 8 pounds, it has taken me until today to get back to 331. sooo it has been a month altogether to make up for all the cheats I did.
So I was talking to my husband and I asked him if it was worth it. We looked at each other and said, "Yes," and we laughed. But, I won't do it again, it wouldn't be worth it to do it again. I learned that my body can't take whatever is in all of this stuff. I had to Pay a high price for my choice to cheat. I am now down the 70 pounds that I lost since June. I am in round 3, doing sublingual.
No, I am not perfect, yes I am learning things as I go, yes I understand others who have cravings. Just do the best you can and realize, that if you do decide to cheat it is going to cost you time..
I am now going to the gym along with the protocol. I am doing great. Happy, mind is working super. Lots of energy.
Now if was having the feeling that I am going to go off, I would find something very close to protocol and have more of that. NOT having something that I know is going to throw me way off.

thanks for sharing your story. (wow, that sounds like an overeaters annonymous statement) Lots of good information there. Best of luck on round 3.

Ellie, when you ate all the sweets that resulted in the 18lb gain, was that indulgence in just one day, or was it a few days? Thanks for sharing. 70lbs is amazing!! Well done.

let me see if I have a record of it on my chart...
    11/18/09 234.00

    11/21/09 P2 229.00 Moving to p3
    11/22/09 P3 Moving to p3
    11/29/09 P3 236.00
    1/01/10 P2 248.2 Back on again
    1/02/10 P2 245.90 ok
    1/03/10 P2
    241.40
    1/04/10 P2 240.6
    1/05/10 P2 239.8
    1/20/20 P2r3 234.00 Tom almost over

Okay now checking the chart it looks like I did this from the end of Thanksgiving all the way through Christmas, but I do know that in p3 I did not add in any cake or anything like that.. but just check out the numbers, yikes, I won't do this again, It's called live and learn!
and you know what else.. it took me two times of doing this before it really registered that I have to give this kind of thing up for good.

Elllie, that does help.... I'm in p2 and today I have been feeling "morning sickness" all day and could barely get my chicken down at lunch. I have been wanting a Taco Bell Taco so bad!!!

But it's not worth it... and this too shall pass.

Thanks so much for the encouragement!

Ellie, I learned at a xmas party and the last hcg inj do not mix. My gain was so fast and it took me going back on for a week to get it back under control, too. I still worry that it was so easy to gain like that.

Ellie, thanks for being so open. I have cheated here & there a lot & when I look over my charts for the last 2 months (well, since Thanksgiving) I've been going up & down...gain on a wknd, take all wk to lose it, gain again...repeat. It is definitely not worth it! I could be at 70 lbs gone instead of 45! I'm happy for my current losses, but it could definitely be better.

Moral of the story is...once you do a small cheat & don't see gains that are 'too bad' you will keep cheating & they get more bold as you continue. I keep saying I've learned my lesson, but this time...I MEAN IT!

yes me too! It's like antabuse, like when an alcoholic drinks and takes this medication they violently throw up causing them NOT to want to drink or it forces them not to drink, well with HCG if you cheat while on it, your gonna PAY.

Another thing I want to mention is that when I was on maintenance there were days when I felt like the HCG was still in my system even 3 weeks after stopping it, (what I mean is the HCG gives me a specific feeling of wellbeing that I can target to being on the HCG, througout the last maintenance I felt that way some days.
Perhaps this has something to do with the large weigh gains too!
I am living and learning and enjoying EVERY moment of this,
I do get VERY bothered with people coming across so judgemental to others.
I think there is a way to tactfully encourage people and also to talk about this journey so that we can learn from each other. Without being judgemental. It's our own bodies and we make our own choices. We have to live with those choices. Others can try and guide us, but I can tell you, being dogmatic only pushes others away.
I hope this helps. Gosh I've been on this great journey called life, it's been quite a ride. I am so Thankful to have found this protocol and these forums and to everyone who posts!

Same exact thing happened to me! I gained back 10 lbs over thanksgiving and Christmas, and kept telling myself it was ok to have a few treats, I was going onto round 3 Jan. 1st. Big waste of weight, I should have never allowed it! So now i have about a week left before p3, and I am down the 10 I had gained, and 8 more for a total of 18 so far. But now i am going to definetly have to do a 4th round before summer!!! My husband got careless from p4 in august til round 3 on Jan 1st and got on the scale to see a 20lb gain of the 67 he had lost in two rounds! He is now down 26 this round (so he feels this round was basically just to get back to where he left off). It can be so hard to say no, but one thing leads to another and it is so easy to lose focus! Stay strong everyone!
