I have done this a few times....pick a very dry wine, (white or red doesn't matter, just needs to be low sugar and dry) drink it at least 3 hours or more before you go to bed, drink lots of water, and skip your second fruit that day. Make your morning fruit something you are pretty sure you do well with. For example, I don't do well with oranges, so I don't have an orange on a day I know I am going to have a glass of wine in the late afternoon. And, drink the wine slowly, because it will go right to your head!!!!! Your tolerance goes way down while on hcg.

I've been on this for 2 years too...and I "indulged" pretty much in each round, at least a couple of times.....sigh.....
aHA! now we know the origin of some of kats comments!

Right now my band is empty, although it still restricts my intake somewhat. I'm praying that this works for me... I can't give up because I am ashamed of myself and don't want my children to grow up either embarassed by me or thinking it's okay to do this to their bodies!!!

I am so glad to have found this forum!!! mgsondance, you are an inspiration to me!!!

On February 3rd, 2011, I too had over 100 lbs to release (I like to say 'release' instead of 'lost' because once it's gone, I don't want to find it again!)

It's March 6th and I am 41lbs lighter and still going! Although I am an extreme example of how much one can release on the hcg protocol, I also know that the more you have to 'release', the more you will release in the beginning.

I have suffered from eating disorders, food insecurity (lack of adequate quality and quantity of food), and food intolerances. Now I am studying Holistic Nutrition, work in a healthfood store, and I am a personal chef. My life seems to have always been oriented around food in some way. I am so thankful for the hcg protocol to help me reset my brain, body and life. I wouldn't be able to truly help others with their nutrition if I cannot get mine under MY control. This is the best behavior modification self-therapy EVER!

Keep us posted and good luck!

I have about 165 pounds to lose...can I do this all in one round, or do I need to take breaks and restart? If so how long do I need between rounds?

you need to take breaks- every 6 weeks. that will be especially important for you to do, since you have a lot to lose. you need to give your liver a break, give your skin time to adjust, and not build up immunity to the hcg. you take 6 wks off after your first round, 8 after your 2nd, 10-12 after your 3rd. the breaks get longer after each round. average loss for women is 20-30# for a 40-day round. you'll probably be on the upper end of that if not higher, since you have so much to lose.

nice to see another michigander. go blue! (U of M grad, 1977). Make sure you read the original protocol carefully: http://hcgdietinfo.com/HCG_Diet_Simeons_Manuscript.htm

I love Ann Arbor! I lived near GR in Greenville during 99-00, but always seem to move back to Ann Arbor since this is my home! Thank you, you truly are an inspiration to all of us!

Thanks MG. It was this post that helped me make the decision to start the HcG protocol. I spent a lot of time recently just hanging out and reading many posts as well as searching the web. I came across this post and it was so encouraging, uplifting and real that I have now ordered my supplies and am stocking up on everything I need to be successful(mostly from what I have learned from all you great people on this site. I am psyched! I know I will get the suppot I need here and won't feel like I am out there all alone. So, great big thanks MG and to all of you who share what works and what doesn't.

Hi, I'm a newbie. I have been lurking on the site for a bit and trying to research this diet. I have read the Dr. S P&I ebook (twice). I'm glad to have found this site. There is soooo much info and wonderful people on here. I have a lot of weight to lose, I have done many diets. I'm hoping this one works! . I just ordered the pellets. I'm excited to start the HCG diet. I'm just wondering.. about how long does it take to lose roughly around 100 lbs? About how many rounds? I figure it will vary, but I'm just wondering what everyone else's experience has been. Thanks for your help
