Thread: FDA Yanks HCG Weight Loss Agents from Market?

  1. #13
The news is on the front page of CNN as well!

    http://thechart.blogs.cnn.com/2011/1...gal/?hpt=hp_t2

I just stocked up from a place that I know works for me...and was the cheapest I found at $25 a bottle for 40 day pellet supply. My second round I found that the pellets were so much more convenient! I'll never go back to drops. I searched for a reputable seller on this forum and a few people had recommended them, so that's what I decided to use and it's worked for me. MeridianHealthLabs.com if you're interested. I agree that we should all stock up now on what works!

    Thumbs up FDA Approved

You have to make sure that the drops you are receiving are FDA approved. I received my drops from my local health food store and they ARE FDA approved. You can check your HCG drops by putting them on a at home pregnancy test, it should make the test positive.....however, this does not mean that if you are to take a pregnancy test while taking HCG that it will be positive.

My understanding is that there are NO FDA-approved HCG products period...Homeopathic or any other form (including Rx). Also, I believe only 7 companies are being issued the warning as of now. Maybe I'm misreading the information posted throughout the news? The FDA website is really quite confusing to maneuver.

I don't know, but I do know that my HHCG has worked wonders for myself and a few friends. I also know the prescription HCG works as well. I really think it's a hit or miss with any company, and just like the members before me, if the big pharmaceutical companies aren't getting a cut of the pay, nobody is.

There is sufficiently compelling evidence that hCG provides support to managing the weight loss that is provided by a VLCD in my eyes. As such I feel that if they are going to shut down our ability to get it our self, then they need to provide us a means of getting it off label from our family doctor in the interim.

There are a lot of fraudulent "hCG" products out there (hi, Walmart) that are giving this drug a bad rap, and I would love there to be sufficient regulation to ensure that people are getting hCG when they are buying hCG.

If this costs, that's fine, as long as it comes with even a base level of blood tests (liver, kidneys at the very least) and visits to a doctor. This is not just hCG, but any diet (fasting comes to mind) where you are losing a fair amount of weight in a short amount of time.

Just to pull the plug without leaving another support in place feels way too heavy handed to be helpful for the epidemic of obese people that will be affected by this decision.

I contacted the company I get my patches from. They said because the patch isn't injested it doesn't fall under the FDA guidelines, so they will not have any problems. They work just like hhcg it's just a different mode of delivery. So for all those who do hhcg...don't worry! It will be fine. From my experience the patches work as well if not better then the hhcg drops.

Also sometimes they just like to "scare" us because it limits selling. Like eBay taking it off their site. No legit reason but they did...

Where do you order your patch? Some people in the chat are wondering.
DISCLAIMER: I mostly follow Dr. Simeons protocol however, I may talk about things that are not advised in his book Pounds and Inches. Those things or items have neutral affect on me personally and do not effect my weight loss in an unfavorable way, however. I will attempt to note when something I mention is "off protocol".

Glad I'm making an order from ReliableRX before things really get crazy.
Well the HCG BIO APP patches from www.myhcgway.com are homeopathic patches... Since they are non-transdermal they are
are not under the pervue of the FDA... So the HCG BIO APP patches will be here to stay.
