    Unhappy Frustrated

I've done hcg diet 3 times now and I never lose more than 7-8 lbs. The first 2 times my husband did it with me, eating the same foods, and would lose 20lbs like you're supposed to. What am I doing wrong? I did a steak day and dropped almost 2lbs but now I'm stuck at that weight again. Help!

Let's see if we can figure it out.

    How long was your round?
Are you using RX HCG or homeopathic?
    What was your dose?
Are you following the original protocol, or a variation?

You can check the original protocol menu here: https://hcgdietinfo.com/hCG-Diet-Man...00-calories-44

At first it sounded like you had finished the round and were doing a steak day in P3. (Steak days are not an option in P2). Is that not the case? If you haven't completed your round yet, what VLC day are you on in your round?

If still in P2, are you having any hunger?

How far away from your goal are you?

It sounds like you are doing one of the variations. There are no steak days during the low calorie phase in the original protocol, and really no steaks either. Veal is allowed, but not beef.

Stalls are normal and for women, nearly unavoidable. Women just have a more complex hormone balance than men. Men usually lose about a pound a day and seldom have stalls. The best response is to continue on plan and wait for your body to release the water its retaining on its own. Dr. Simeons did allow for an "apple day", but he said it is of psychological value only. There is nothing to be gained by forcing it to release early, it just adds more stress to an already stressful program.

The best advice I can give you is to follow the original protocol. It works for nearly everyone. The link I posted to the menu can be used to access the manuscript for the protocol.

Its good that you are not having hunger. Please verify that your are using homeopathic drops that contain HCG as the first ingredient. It will generally be followed by the dilution strength--something like 3x 12x 60x. Some fake drops use appetite suppressants, so not having hunger is not necessarily an indication that you are using real drops.

Women lose and average of .5 pound a day, so for the 21 days of VLC on a short round, you can expect to lose somewhere around 10.5 pounds if all goes well, around 15 if it goes really well. Your results are less than that, but not way less, so maybe that will give a little perspective.

Thanks for patiently answering my questions. I'm starting to get a clearer picture of your situation.

When I did this before you could get hcg over the counter. I知 having exact same results with this homeopathic. I did the apple day with absolutely no change in wt. it痴 just frustrating to sit at the same wt for A couple of days and then maybe lose .2 or .8 lbs
I appreciate all your help and will finish this round.

Lets make sure your drops are genuine. There are lot of fake drops out there. Please list the ingredients on your bottle in the order they are noted.

Also, how much did you gain during your load, and what did your first week losses look like?
What is your loss to date, starting from your weight on the morning of VLC day 1?

The apple day is really worthless. When it does "work" all it is doing is forcing a loss you would have had anyway to come earlier. It doesn't actually create any additional loss. I know its frustrating to see the scale stuck at the same number, but its just part of the way it works for most women.

I didn稚 eat any fruit yesterday. Simply because my schedule got crazy and I wasn稚 hungry. Down 1.8lbs this morning.
I gained 2 lbs during load. Lost 5lbs first week and 8lbs to date. Tomorrow is day 21.
I知 using BioSource Labs Complex Diet Drops. List is too long and complicated to type on my phone. But again first two times I had hcg drops and my results were the same.

Thank you for the reference. I looked up the product and what I found has "hormone free" written on the label.

You can see by the ingredient list that it contains a bunch of nice amino acids, but no HCG. Your appetite is being suppressed by the herb combination, not by HCG. Your slow losses after the first week is indicative that there is no HCG at work.

If this is the correct product you are taking, I'm afraid you are using fake drops. Its important to stop immediately, as continuing with the low calorie diet is harming your metabolism. Your hypothalamus is not being rested, and you are losing muscle along with some fat. The best you can do at this point is to go immediately into P3 eating and hope your body can recover from the starvation mode the last three weeks are heading you toward. The effects of a damaged metabolism is that you will start gaining at lower daily calories than you were able to eat previously, because of muscle loss.

Using fake drops unfortunately puts you at risk of gaining back more fat than you had in the first place. So sorry this happened to you.
