    Gall bladder surgery and HCG

Hi, I was in my round 2, vlcd16 when I had a severe gall bladder (gall stones) attack and it turned into severe pancreatitis. So, they removed my gall bladder two days ago. Now my question is that can I start this diet again? When? Will it hurt me in any way? Will I still be able to lose weight? Thanks!

It sounds like you have been through quite an ordeal.

You'll need to wait until you are fully healed, but eventually, you can do the diet again. Your doctor can give you your healing timeline. Don't start in too soon, because protein is needed for proper healing, and there is not enough protein in the VLC menu to sustain proper healing. There is a theory that quick weight loss can make an existing gall bladder problem worse, but you don't have to worry about that happening now.

If you have pain from eating after the surgery, try some papaya enzyme. It can make a huge difference. Also smaller meals and a digestive that includes oxbile will be helpful as your body adjusts to not having a gall bladder.
