I take .75 mcg Levothyroxine. Only time i had hair loss was after two long rounds back and no thyroid meds. Hcg clinic told me not to take my thyroid meds. Was mistake not to ck with regular md. After resuming thyroid meds no hair loss Plus i take magnesium and Vit C Daily

I take NP Thyroid. I've never experienced hair loss with HCG.

You can take biotin to support hair growth during your round if you wish.

My hair actually thickens and "grows like a weed" when I'm on hcg. I remember after my 1st and 2nd rounds, my hair was longer and thicker than it had been since I was a little girl.

While people do sometimes experience hair loss while on the HCG protocol, it is not a common side effect and might not even be attributable to the HCG hormone. I think it is more likely that hair loss during HCG has more to do with the condition of your thyroid. And since thyroid function is enhanced during your time on HCG, it can actually help your hair growth.

I also believe its a myth that the 500 calorie diet you are on during the protocol is nutritionally deficient. I think that myth comes from a lack of understanding of how the HCG releases and mobilizes your existing fat stores that provide part of your energy during P2. There are a lot of vitamins and minerals stored in those shrinking fat cells that come back into the body and provide extra nutrition beyond the daily 500 calories that are added. One of the reasons so many feel really good and energetic during P2 is because they are getting good nutrition--and eliminating toxins that stress the metabolism.
