Why havenít I been successful on subsequent rounds?

I was hoping to find out why I have not been successful on subsequent rounds? My first round was done on Injections and I lost 35 lbs. Then the 2nd time I used injections and I lost 20 lbs.

The 3rd, 4th, and 5th time I didnít do so well, I actually failed. Within two weeks it seems I need to change my dosage to overcome hunger, then again within a few days to a week, then finally I just give up.

Were both your first rounds 40 dose rounds?

Assuming they were, your 35 pound loss was way better than average. Usually only men manage to lose the maximum 34 pounds (40 is allowed if more than 100 pounds overweight). Your 20 pound loss is right on the average for women: .5 pound per day.

If you can't get dose adjusted right, its very hard to continue on while super hungry. And not only that, but powering through it just means you are losing the wrong kind of fat plus muscle. You would likely not have stabilized well afterwards anyway. So your decision to stop the round was the wiser choice when you couldn't fix the dose problem.

I also did very well on my first round... cant remember how much but definitely more than 22lbs but at the time I was in the region of 220lbs starting out... i do think the less you have to lose, the slower the loss will be.... but then again 35lbs is VERY good... and I am tempted to ask if the round was longer than 40 injections?... combined with not a long enough P3 and P4 in between?... risking immunity?...
Just a few thoughts that popped up while reading your post

    Ladies,

1st round was 60 days, using injections, 03/2012
2nd round was 50 days, using injections, 11/2014
3rd round was ? days, using sublingual, 12/2019
4th round was 30 days, using injection, 04/2020
5th round was 10 days, using injection, 06/2020

    I didnít do P3 & P4 on my 3,4 & 5 round because I failed. Maybe I have immunity?

I would like to try this diet one last time for 40 days using injections. Please tell me your thought.

I think Leez would be the best person to respond to the techical side of this....

My humble thoughts are...and please I do not mean to offend in any way, shape or form... just answering your question
    Were these 60/50 days continuously?
    Did you do skip days?
    Why not follow protocol???

Its easy to say HCG is not working.... but the protocol is there for a reason.... if you do not follow protocol... HCG will not work... there is no such a thing as ‘bending the rules’ to fit in with you....
P3 is THEE most important part of doing HCG

Whenever friends ask me about HCG.... i always tell them that HCG WORKS.... but it is VERY unforgiving when you cheat..
Simple! HCG is not a diet that can be tweaked...it is a Science... and we all know what science can do if you mess with it... it can blow up in your face!

I do not plan my HCG rounds without checking my calendar very carefully to avoid any pitfalls along the way...

I have been known to tell close friends... whom I love dearly... losing weight is a commitment you make to yourself and for yourself...and unless you play by the rules of whatever process you choose... you are not ready to play the game.... so my point is... HCG works.... we as humans make it fail

Hoping to see you joining us back in January...

It does seem likely that after two extra long rounds, you may have hit immunity. Which would explain the failure to find the right dose in round 3 and beyond. Once you reach immunity, you will have strong hunger no matter what dose you take, because the HCG is no longer effective in your body.

Dr. Simeons says that immunity is reached somewhere around the 40th dose. That means it could happen a little before that 40th dose or more likely sometime afterwards. No one knows whether you can eek out 1 more day, 10 days, or even more before hitting it. So 40 is the arbitrary cut off.

Generally you need to wait about a year before trying HCG again if you have become immune. Some will stay immune, but others will be able to use HCG again.

And Yvonne is right about P3. Doing it correctly is even more important than doing P2 correctly. P3 is when you lock in the metabolism reset that P2 has set up for you. So when you do try again, that has to be part of your plan. We have to look at day 21 of P3 as the actual end of the round.

I try to discourage people from doing long rounds whether on injections or doing homeopathic, even though immunity is only a risk with RX HCG. This article may help you understand why its so important: https://hcgdietinfo.com/why-its-impo...etween-rounds/

I guess the answer to your question is stupidity of not knowing I was to skip a day each week and to stop at 40 days. I had no help from anyone when I did it the first time. The second time I did it, I skipped one day a week. I should have stopped at 40 days, but didn’t. During this time I was an active member on this website and would read peoples experiences in the forum. After reading your statement where you talk about, the HCG protocol is a science and we all know what science can do if you mess with it....that rang a bell in my head. You are also correct when you say you can’t bend the rules of HCG to fit in with what I want. I realize now because of what you have said, it was all my fault for the failures. Learning the hard way has caused so much stress in my life. If only I had followed Simeons protocol exactly, I wouldn’t be in this situation. Thank you for pointing this out to me.
My medications that I am taking for hypothyroidism is Cytomel, which I have stopped during this round per Dr. Simeonís protocol. I have also quit taking any vitamins and supplements.

Thank you so much for explaining. This has opened up my eyes and I realize what has happened. I will wait one year before I try this again. My doctor is sending me 40 days supply of injection. It should be arriving at my home within a week. I guess I could store it in the freezer until my year comes. What are your thoughts?

Since those first long rounds were a number of years ago, we would mostly be looking at the 3 rounds you attempted starting in December of 2019. You did wait plenty of time after those.

You could attempt a round in January. That would be 6 full months after your last try and should be sufficient.

I have to leave right now, but when I get back, I'll address the question about storing the HCG.

Deana... this forum is a treasure trove of information... if you are unsure... just ask the members are always willing to share knowledge and experiences... so here is wishing you luck

A 40 day round comprises of 40 injections including the 2 on loading... that extends the actual round by a few extra days

Leez will confirm... i think you need at least x number if shots before skipping a day
Personally i always load saturday and Sunday and then skip every Sunday thereafter
So remember it is the number of hcg treatments no length of round

If your doctor is sending you prefilled syringes, there is no guarantee that they would be good in a year after freezing, but it does work for some people. I have not personally done it, but I think you do have to allow for expansion when you freeze pre-filled syringes. I'm not sure what the exact technique is, but you can probably pull it up in search, since its been talked about on the forums.

If your doctor is sending you the vial of freeze-dried HCG (lyophilized) you have a better chance it it being viable after a year, after waiting to mix it.

The unopened vial should be fine tucked in a back dark corner of your fridge for that time. Even though it might have an exp/useby date before then, it will still be good for several years after that.

They tell you not to freeze HCG because the peptides are delicate and can be damaged. From research I've done, that damage happens from a number of freeze/thaw cycles. Freezing once and then using right after thawing seems to give a good result of keeping the HCG viable. If you have a question about it, the best way to check is to put a full dose on a pregnancy strip. Any positive, even a faint one, means your HCG is still good.

A 40 day round is 40 "dose" days. That means you count loading and P2 dose days, but not skip days or the transition days leading into P3 without HCG.

On rounds 30 doses or less, you do not need to do weekly skip days, although you can if you want to. You can start your skip days anytime in the first 2 weeks of P2. The earliest day you can skip is day 5 of P2 (after 4 effective doses)

Well then I guess I will start on January 1, 2021 (6 months since the last time I used HCG) and see where it takes me. If I do not succeed, I will then wait until January 2022 and try again. I appreciate both of you for responding to my questions. I will need your support when I start in January. I will write again as soon as I receive the HCG from my doctor.
