Thread: Not hungry during loading - load 3 days - opinions?

Question Not hungry during loading - load 3 days - opinions?

    I'm R1P1D2 and I'm just not hungry.
I know I'm not getting enough calories for the loading process although when I do eat it's been high fat content and low simple sugar over all.
I'm thinking I should load 1 more day to be sure I'm 'loaded enough' for the VLCD.

    Opinions?

It's not really necessary. The main thing with loading is to get in 2 shots so the hcg is effective before you start dieting.

Oh, ok... I didn't know that. I thought it was to sustain your body during the first days of the VLCD.
    That's not the case?

It doesn't seem to matter how you load. Some load on fats, some on sweets. I think more harm is done by overloading than on any other part of the protocol. People take it as an opportunity to totally gorge themselves and that's not what the protocol says.

So true. I've experimented with different types of loading and it never seems to make a difference if I swim in chocolate or pound back the Big Mac's. So with this most latest round, I just ate normally. Around 500 calories over maintenance.

The rationale for loading from Simeon's point of view was to fill up the fat stores in people who had been previously dieting without HCG and were burning the wrong kind of fat. He wanted them to "top up" their stores of structural fat and so forth before the diet. But he never intended people to eat an entire store worth of food.

I've loaded with fat, I've loaded with carbs and I've gone straight onto HCG with no loading and at all and at the end of week 1 my net losses (without counting loading) have always been right around the same #'s. In fact without loading I tend to lose a couple more real pounds than I do with loading. So I haven't loaded for several rounds. I don't have any issues with hunger doing a 500 cal day even off hcg and it kicks in by day 2 for me so it isn't an issue.
