Thread: Kitchen Scale or Postal Scale

  1. #1
Should I get a regular kitchen scale or a postal scale for weighing my food. I thought I remember reading somewhere on here someone saying a postal scale would be more accurate. I dont want to spend a ton of money though. What is everyone else using? Are you weighing EVERYTHING?

i use a postal scale, just because i already had one. you only need to weigh your meat, although many people measure out their veggies (but don't weigh them)

i bought a scale, the kitchen one, digital. I only spent about 12dollars for it. You can use which one you would like to just so that you weigh your food.

I bought a digital scale at walmart. I like it a lot better than the one that has a line. Feel like it is more accurate. And i weigh everything--meat and veggies because I have 3 1/2 oz of each at each meal. That is what Doc gave me on the sheet and I don't like guessing, a handful of this or that--I like a definitive amount so I don't worry about getting too much.

I have a kitchen scale. I know Dr S said to use a postal scale but the scales today are much more accurate than what he was used to seeing.

If it weighs accurately, it would be fine. Have to wonder about the accuracy of an $18 scale, tho... but that's just me. If you can look at it at the store, check out the size of the glass platform where you will place food and/or a container. Size does matter in this instance.
Think thin thoughts and it will become your experience.
