How to lose the normal fat that wasnt lost during a round

Hello all, I was wondering if any of you could shed some light on this. I just completed phase 3 and gained back 4.5 lbs as I stabilized. Not going to beat myself up for it. But I am wondering, since this diet sheds your abnormal fat, how do I lose the regular fat, that is just as hard for me to lose? When I was this weight before, I was not so flabby as I am now. My stomach looks awful where as years before at this weight, I could probably almost be comfortable in a bikini. Any suggestions or info to share? Also when I go to do a short round, will it get rid of some of this normal flabby fat too? I know I should probably start exercising, but its been 100 degrees, and the gyms air isn't up to par, and Ive been so busy with things around the house and yards..I always find excuses lol Thanks

Whether you can regain your earlier svelt-ness or not partly depends on how old you are. Once into P4 you can try to lose weight any way you like. I encourage you to check out Trim Healthy Mama, or Fast Metabolism Diet. Both of those are great plans that keep you eating well while encouraging your body to burn up any extra fat stores you still may have.

It's just a fact of life that as we age, our muscle mass percentage goes down, which makes us flabbier than at the same weight we were years ago. Unless you do something like weight training the effective way needed to replace/add muscle mass, you are just going to look different even if at the same weight. But even a regular walking routine will help, as weight bearing exercise does have an effect on retaining muscle, and helps keep your bones strong.

Even though I'm at my goal weight after HCG, I have some looser skin in the belly area now than I did when younger (before menopause hit) and my skin was more elastic. It makes it look like flab, but its really just skin with a little normal fat under it. I doubt I could ever get rid of that even if I lost more and did all kinds of ab work. I just consider it my battle scars from once being 100 pounds heavier than I am now.

You may get some better results from your short round. It at least partly depends on how much more you can lose. Are you already at your goal weight, other than the 4.5 pounds?

Thanks so much Leez. It all makes sense. When I weighed yesterday I was only 2.5 lbs more than LIW. I'm just under my red zone but would love to lose 10 more lbs. I think exercise is key and I'm looking for ways to skirt around it lol. But I should hit the gym. Moving to a new state all by myself and having a different routine than I did for 17 years has made it more challenging..and the gyms near me are not what I was used to back home.

Is it possible to lose normal fat when you're close to your goal on a second round of hcg? I can certainly lose another 20 lbs of fat..i mean I have it lol. I think 10 and some tone up would be good though.

Dr. Simeons said the HCG is self-regulating, and you'll get extremely hungry at the point that all the abnormal fat is lost and that will force you to stop. He said those that continue past that point start to look gaunt in the face and neck.

It doesn't seem to me that the extreme hunger thing is a fail safe. People can use HCG to get too thin. Grammy has talked about that a couple of times in regards to some that. Here is a discussion where it is addressed:
This mystifies me: getting too skinny from HCG

If you know you have 15 pounds or more to lose, then its safe to do a short round of HCG. There's really no way to know at what point you would start losing the wrong kind of fat. Its going to be different for everyone.
