Whether you can regain your earlier svelt-ness or not partly depends on how old you are. Once into P4 you can try to lose weight any way you like. I encourage you to check out Trim Healthy Mama, or Fast Metabolism Diet. Both of those are great plans that keep you eating well while encouraging your body to burn up any extra fat stores you still may have.
It's just a fact of life that as we age, our muscle mass percentage goes down, which makes us flabbier than at the same weight we were years ago. Unless you do something like weight training the effective way needed to replace/add muscle mass, you are just going to look different even if at the same weight. But even a regular walking routine will help, as weight bearing exercise does have an effect on retaining muscle, and helps keep your bones strong.
Even though I'm at my goal weight after HCG, I have some looser skin in the belly area now than I did when younger (before menopause hit) and my skin was more elastic. It makes it look like flab, but its really just skin with a little normal fat under it. I doubt I could ever get rid of that even if I lost more and did all kinds of ab work. I just consider it my battle scars from once being 100 pounds heavier than I am now.
You may get some better results from your short round. It at least partly depends on how much more you can lose. Are you already at your goal weight, other than the 4.5 pounds?
