    Not losing inches

Hi! I am on day 9 of VLCD and have lost about 5 pounds which is good but only a quarter inch off my waist and a quarter inch off my chest. And nothing else. Little stressed cause I was hoping that my inches would start going down more by now.

5 pounds for 9 days of VLCD is a rather low loss. Maybe we can help you figure out what is happening.

Please post your delivery method, dose, and whether your loss is figured from your weight the first morning of the first VLC day.

I am doing injections from Nu Image. My dose is 110 iu. I was doing 125 but I was starving so I lowered it and it seems to be much better for my hunger. I was measuring my weight from the first VLCD. I lost 2 pounds the next day

Glad you decided to start at a reasonable dose. NuImage usually recommends 200iu or even more, which generally causes hunger and poor losses. Also it seems that you did your adjustment in the appropriate direction.

So that obviously is not your issue. Unless there was a mixing mistake made of some kind. What was your mixing ratio, just to be sure?

5,000 iu of hcg with 5 ml. I followed a video that HCG Chica did to mix. I’m doing this with my mother and she has lost more inches and weight as well

And what number are you drawing to on your syringe?

Thank you. OK, we have established that you are actually on a dose of 110iu. (I'm assuming your syringe is a U-100 and not a U-40 since it was part of your NuImage kit)

When you lowered your dose, did you skip a day before changing to the new lower dose?

You said the lower dose seemed much better for hunger. But is the hunger gone, or are you still hungry? How strong, persistent is the remaining hunger?

    Lets take a look at what you are eating. Are you following the original protocol menu;
    https://hcgdietinfo.com/hCG-Diet-M**...alories-44.htm

or are you doing a variation of some kind?

Yes I skipped a day first. I usuallly only get hungry around meal times. Sometimes I get a bit hungry in the mornings before I eat an apple. I eat an apple around 10-11 am and then eat lunch at 12. I have been doing some original protocol meals and some hcg p2 approved recipes. I am not doing the Melba toast or bread stick. I eat dinner around 5

A little hunger right before normal meal times is perfectly normal.

So, in reality, you are still in the average loss of .5 pounds per day range, although most people loose a big chunk the first week and then have weeks later where they might only lose a pound or two. But the average will usually work out to half a pound a day for women.

You might not be doing anything wrong. It might just be that you will continue to lose steadily and still achieve a reasonable loss. Instead of measuring with a tape, maybe try on something that was snug before your began and see if there is any shifting going on. Its possible that your body is redistribuiting, or holding some water that will drop later. And when that moves out, you will see some inch loss.

The other possibility is that some food allowed in the protocol is a problem food for you. (Which would cause some water retention) Do you have any other digestive symptoms that you can connect to eating a certain thing, or other responses like unusual fatigue, headache, or sleepiness after eating certain things?

I have been feeling fatigue and extra sleepiness but I have not been able to connect it to any of the foods I’ve been eating. I have been changing my foods in order to try to find a source. I will continue to do so. Thank you so much for all of your help!

Good luck with your detective work. Its such an inexact science, but sometimes we can figure these things out if we just keep at it.

If you are not already doing this, try adding some mineral salt to your water. (Pink salt, celtic salt or sea salt) It will help you hydrate better and keep your electrolytes balanced. Sometimes just that is enough to fix any unusual fatigue or muscle heaviness during P2. We eat so little and drink more than normal, so its easy for things to become unbalanced.

Also, keeping elimination functioning well in P2 is important. If you feel you are the least bit constipated, add magnesium and vitamin C in increasing amounts until things are moving well again. (do NOT add fiber as that will make it worse)
