No it's way better than lasering. Lasering really needs some expertise and a certain order of food. It's not just a random thing you do.

Haha, the thought of never eating a certain food again intrinsically sounds a lot less appealing, though. :P

By "order", do you mean the one associated with NAET?

yes, the right order is important. There are certain things this kind of thing won't help though and you need to know what they are. Gluten and dairy are often intrinsic problems that nothing will fix. You simply can't eat them. Other things can be cleared but you need to know and understand kinesiology.

Would I do the food challenge from Recitas' book before getting my thyroid tested? Would I do it throughout all of P3 and P4 in lieu of THM? (avoiding any P4-only foods during the first part of the food challenge.)

Since my first hcg round 3 years ago, I've kept a spreadsheet which logs my daily weight and all foods, drinks, and meds or supplements I consume every day. The way I figured out most of my sensitivities, was that I saw a pattern of 2-4 lb. increases every time I ate certain foods, by analyzing the spreadsheet looking backward and identifying common patterns.

That's some extreme dedication, sdwis! I kept a food log in excel spreadsheet form, too, for all the phases my last round. I've been slacking off a bit in this new round of P2 however, since I've gotten good at eyeballing my portions. It's definitely a valuable tool in P3 and P4 though, no matter what round.

I tried looking back at the days prior to my large gains, but there's no common thread that really jumps out at me.

From my original post, I neglected to mention that from my last round up until the present, I've been eating a lot of stevia and xylitol (gum) for flavoring. I've been trying to ween myself off the xylitol, but I don't know how easily I could give up stevia (it's been years since I drank more than a few glasses of water at one time without it, haha).

I don't have any problems with pure stevia in any phases, or even pure sugar in P4, but all other sweeteners do cause gains for me. Maybe you have the same problem.

Yeah, I never feel bloated or tired when taking Stevia and I use a LOT of it (not only in my water but as something to dip my fruit in), so hopefully that's a good sign, but I know for a fact that I'll be running to the toilet more frequently if I overdo it with the xylitol.

I ordered some licorice root today as a substitute for the xylitol gum. If I can't stomach it, I thought about buying some chicle and flavoring it with stevia (too bad commercially available stevia-only gum doesn't exist, at least from what I've found.)

    Hey Grammy,

I know it’s been a few weeks since the last post in this thread, but would you be able to address some questions that arose from this thread:

    1) Would an excess of canola oil be yet another factor for proper stabilization?

    2) If I did decide to do Recitas’ food challenge (presumably in P3), would it be a good idea to also do THM in P4?

    3) If I did decide to laser, can I do the full NAET treatment spectrum ahead of time before P2 is over? And once I get through the entire spectrum, then would it be safe to laser specific items?

Canola oil is an omega 6 oil, which is inflammatory. Some will be more sensitive to this effect than others. But it is better to use olive, avocado or nut oils. Even real butter. Low level inflammation can definitely affect stabilization.

You can't really do THE PLAN (Recitas) in P3. There are too many starches. You can do it in P4 however. The same with THM.

I'm not intimately famliar with NAET, so maybe someone that is can address that aspect. However, as far as I understand lasering, you can do it at any time. It seems to be very important that you do it based on the strength testing, though, rather than just blanket-lasering everything.

Flinrae, Grammy has decided not to post anymore. Her goodbye post is on the board.

I think canola oil could definitely be an issue. It's so very unhealthy despite what the marketers have tried to convince us of.

Mysterious weight gain after 40-day round

I'm very sensitive to canola oil. Every time I eat anything fried in it, I usually have to do a detox bath & correction day the next day to get rid of the inflammation...Mysterious weight gain after 40-day round
