Basically you saute a bunch of minced garlic, then toast quite a lot of turmeric with just a pinch of garam masala and cumin in your pan for a minute, throw in some raw shrimp and a pinch of salt, continue to saute in the spices until the shrimp is done, and serve it up with fresh cilantro on the top. This meal takes about 10 minutes total, but tastes so yummy and has a lot of cleansing properties from the garlic, turmeric and cilantro. Alternatively, you can process the garlic and spices into a paste to marinate the shrimp, and grill on skewers.
    omnomnom... sounds GREAT!

My sister was telling me a way to make pickles. Braggs apple cider vinegar, dill, garlic powder, and lil salt and stevia- taste if you like way juice taste then add sliced cucumbers and put in fridge over night!! I havent tried this one yet, but it is definitely on my list along with the apples and cinnamon. BTW, I dont know about where you are at, but here, at my health food store, they have flavored stevia drops. I bought severa, including a chocolate flavor - I add this to my coffee!! YUM!
dhardie - I love the flavored Stevia. I can get it cheaper from Amazon and order it all the time, but use my local health food store if I run out. I have English Toffee, Cinnamon, Lemon Drops, Berry, Vanilla Creme, Apricot, Valencia Orange and peppermint. It's great to add to Ice Water or Seltzer Water, for soda drinkers, I've even seen cola and rootbeer.

I had a rough day - not with the diet, but with some decisions - I bought some furniture for a big move soon, and well, it drained me (decision-wise and financially it was taxing!)

Anyhoo - I got home, exhausted, so no real thought process went into this meal, however I made a 3 egg-white scramble with shredded cabbage, spiced with some red pepper flakes and salt and pepper for taste:

It was quick, tasty, and the strawberries in particular made me smile a little after a long, taxing day

    3 more days of P2!
Zuperzue - I hope today is going better for you. Thank you for sharing your quick, meal.

    Mojito Shrimp
    Shrimp
    Lime Juice
    Lime Zest
    Thin Sliced Shallots
    Apple Cider
    Chopped Mint
    Salt

Mix it all together and marinate for 30mins. Then put it in the pan until shrimp is cooked. (I also like to make the marinade before mixing with the shrimp. Split it in two and use the other half with chopped up cucumbers.)
HCGChefMiami - Thanks for the recipe. I took a look at your website, love the vibrant colors. I work with small businesses and admire entrepreneurs greatly. I think you have a great service that you are offering. I had a woman who would cook for me years ago (she moved out of state), we had two full sets of storage containers and two coolers. I had a pickup day and time, and would show up and just exchange my clean, empty containers and cooler for the well stocked one. It would have the menu in it and each container would be labeled, it worked wonderful and I had never eaten healthier. I managed a large company and was putting in 50+ hours a week, and would settle for fast food without her. So good for you, for turning this into a business and impressive stats on your husband, I would expand more on his story and on yours. Thank you for sharing.

    The Popsicle:
Steep green tea, Stevie, and a couple of orange slices in a tea pot until hot. Let cool.
Poor green tea into a bowl and add a few strawberries. Smash the strawberries into the green tea.
Drain the strawberry chunks out of the tea. Poor into ice cube trays and freeze.

Thanks!! As you can tell by my very delayed response... I'm very familiar with 50++ hr work weeks As soon as I can wrangle up my hubby for some after pics they'll be a link up with his full story.

Wanted to add another favorite on here. Disclaimer: I have a weak spot for shrimp.

    Ceviche Style Shrimp

100g shrimp - Cook with a small amount of lemon juice, salt, & pepper and refrigerate.
Mix cooled shrimp with garlic, chopped red onion, lime juice, lime zest, fresh cilantro, chopped tomatoes, salt, & pepper.
Serve cold. (Even better if you let it marinate in the fridge a bit.)

I don't purchase the cooked shrimp on P2 to make sure I weigh out the 100g raw but on P3 and P4 you can pick up cooked shrimp at market making it a "no cooking required" dish. With three kids in the house, no-cook dishes always make it to the top of my favorites list quickly. I also add avocados when I'm not on P2... so yummy!
