PLEASE HELP!! Everything is perfect but I'M NOT LOSING

52 year old female probably menopausal. 5"4 inches tall.

    R1D1 192
    r1D2 197 #
    R2D1 190
R2D2 188; up and down a few ounces at a time on R2D3,4,5
    R2D6 190.8 (today)

I am only in my first week and I have not lost. THIS IS EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING!!! I have not cheated. Take 125IU each morning as a shot from a reputable company. ONE cup of coffee in the am with 1 T milk MEASURED. drink water and herbal tea all day. and lots of it. AT LEAST 2 Litres of water. approved sweeteners for the tea. liquid stevia and sweet leaf. no disallowed spices. No red meat. Chicken and fish. Weighed out BEFORE cooking. No combining vegetables. No off protocol foods. No grissino or melba. yesterday was the first day I had my 2 fruits. NO HUNGER. TONS OF ENERGY. I cannot seem to sleep. Well I do but I don't think it is deep. I read Robin Woodall's outstanding book Weight Loss Apocalypse and I am REALLY trying to tell myself this is NOT about the weight loss but about resetting my hormones and establishing once and for all a functional healthy relationship with food but to stall as SOON as I start this has me wondering. PS: I tried hcg last year from Jan 2015 until the summer with extraordinarily frustrating results. I lost a few pounds but was starving ALL THE TIME > WRONG DOSE. My dose seems to be right but this is SOOOOOOO FRUSTRATING!! PLEASE HELP ME. I SO WANT THIS!!!!!! MY HEAD IS IN THE GAME THIS TIME.

PS: I take NO medications and a recent doctor visit showed perfect blood work, fasting blood glucose, 110/70 bp, cholesterol great, thyroid great, no auto immune diseases. I have an MRI Tuesday for chronic debilitating migraines from way before starting protocol

Even if you're completely following protocol, you might have a food sensitivity you're eating every day. Cabbage does it for some people. Strawberries do it for some. Can you list exactly what you've been eating? I'd also eliminate the milk. I know it's allowed but dairy is second only to gluten in foods that cause problems.

breakfast: 1 cup coffee with 1 T. milk
lunch: fish or chicken with an approved vegetable (only 1 veg; never combined)
supper: fish (if I had chix at lunch) or chix (if I had fish at lunch) and ONE noncombined veg

I have done this daily. I have NOT cheated. yesterday was the first I ate any fruit. yesterday was apple, then 2 hours later or so chix and cabbage, and approx 2 hours later another apple. I did NOT eat 2 'meals' yesterday. busy, no appetite. trying to NOT eat if I have no hunger. as I said earlier i am trying to relearn true functional hunger as robin woodall outlines in weight loss apocalypse. thank you for your help!

PS: If I am NOT losing am I REALLY resetting my hormones? I thought the purpose of hcg was to help the hypothalamus restore metabolism to a new higher rate. It seems as if it has NO EFFECT on me and if that is the case this VLCD is causing me to further depressed an already hideously depressed metabolism.

The way you are feeling would indicate that the hcg is doing its job and you're dealing with a food sensitivity so yes it should be helping your hypothalamus. You really didn't list the veggies you've had except for cabbage so I don't know what other veggies you've been eating. I suspect the milk is the problem but it could be anything. Tomatoes are also possible but I don't know if you've been eating tomatoes. It's best not to have 2 apples in a day because they are pretty high in sugar so try making one of your fruits 1/2 grapefruit or berries. The increase was probably from the 2 apples when you hadn't been eating your fruit at all. I recommend keeping at least 1 fruit a day in though. Your thyroid needs the carbs.

what I've found is that it is IMPOSSIBLE to lose weight if you're eating a food you're sensitive to every day, even if you cut your calories very low. The food sensitivity causes inflammation and your body holds onto water weight to protect itself. It's very frustrating but once you figure it out, you should lose just fine. I'd try cutting the milk first.

cucumbers, cabbage, tomatoes. thats been it. never ever had a sensitivity to anything. ok. ill cut the milk. However the energy and the lack of hunger ARE encouraging. Since this has been my experience EVERY time I have tried this it is not only frustrating but I do question why I continue to try hcg. Definition of insanity and all that. But the hypothalamus thing is encouraging enough to try another week. Thanks!!

An underlying sensitivity to something is very often the CAUSE of a weight problem in the first place. So if you continue to eat whatever that is, you can run into problems. If the milk doesn't correct it, let's try tomatoes next.

Eating every two hours in P2 might be your problem, as well as the milk. On hcg you shouldn't be hungry that often, and if you are you may have a dosage or product authenticity issue. Robin Woodall's advice in more applicable for P3 & P4, so I'd save it til then if I were you, and it should definitely work for you then.

One other note: as pounds and inches states if that if people were perfect on there food choices it was often a body care product or something like that, I once had issues with coconut oil hiding in a lip chap.

Cabbage can be a real culprit. I would try other vegetables and cut the milk. Also do measurements? Sounds like your holding onto water.

PLEASE HELP!! Everything is perfect but I'M NOT LOSING

    Hi delta64

Per Dr. Simeons in pounds and inches you should not eat the same protein for both your meals. If you eat chicken for meal 1, you need to eat seafood or lean beef/veal for meal 2. I stalled only once during a round, and it was when I ate chicken twice in one day, but had no choice due to travel. The next day I changed it up again as required, and my losses resumed.

That's actually not true, sdwis. He says not to have beef 2x in the same day but there is no ban on other meats. Just to keep the record clear. It's a good idea to change it up but it's not required. Here is all P & I says about it:

In America, therefore, low-grade veal should beused for one meal and fish (excluding all those species such as herring, mackerel, tuna, salmon, eel, etc., whichhave a high fat content, and all dried, smoked or pickled fish), chicken breast, lobster, crawfish, prawns orshrimp, crabmeat or kidneys for the other meal.
