PLEASE HELP!! Everything is perfect but I'M NOT LOSING

    Hi Grammy,

Sorry about my misspoken info. You are right, it was "my original doctor's" instructions to not repeat proteins, since she had quite a few patients report stalls when they especially had chicken breast or the same fish twice in one day as I had. I am use to changing it up every day with great losses including lean veal(scallopini cut). I found that I could have seafood twice in one day as long as it wasn't the same fish, i.e. shrimp then fish or crab then fish were ok.

Cabbage and strawberries are a problem for me though, although I have better losses if I have the grissini too.

How are you maintaining from your last round from a few months ago. Have you noticed any new sensitivities or problem foods for you in P3 or P4 this time?

It's still a good idea, sdwis, but it doesn't impact everyone the same. Some can eat chicken the entire round and lose like a champ, the rats. LOL Unfortunately I did NOT maintain that loss from the last round but it's the fault of my dratted thyroid. The dr didn't like my wonky labs (free T3 looked high but no amount of tweaks fixed it) and she changed me to Synthroid and Cytomel together. I'd heard that combo works for some so was willing to try it. I felt good a few weeks on it but my hair started falling out, I gained 10 pounds, and I was tired so I knew what the problem was. When I was in AZ for the birth of my grandson I got some labs pulled from a different place because I'd been reading they weren't accurate at Theranos who was in trouble with the feds. My labs were in the toilet so I called my dr and requested a return to compounded thyroid. I've been feeling much better for about a month and am starting to lose the 10 pounds. My hair is nice and thick again and tons of energy.

That whole thyroid piece is huge for most of us.

oh and hcg really doesn't cause any sensitivities. Those can just pop up out of nowhere when you eat something a lot. Food sensitivities are caused from gut flora being off kilter. Get gut flora in good shape and rotate your foods and there really isn't much problem. We tend to get in a rut and eat the same things all the time which can trigger things if we've had an antibiotic or eat too much sugar or whatever and get the gut all compromised.

Glad to read your thyroid issue got resolved! My thyroid also tanked, but now is better so now I am back on HCG. Congrats on the new grandchild. Hope all is well!

You are definitely on point with this information. A few months ago, (After 2 years in P4) I began having digestive issues and 1-2 lb. jumps from eating the same foods that I'd never had any issues with. Once I figured it out and got my gut in check, the problem subsided and they were no longer a problem, but I did start mixing things up a bit to keep it away for good.

As always, we appreciate your wisdom and advice, and wish you continued healing with your thyroid condition. I don't have thyroid issues, but I've heard nothing but bad things from others about Synthroid - specifically weight gain and hair loss, so glad you got away from that poisonPLEASE HELP!! Everything is perfect but I'M NOT LOSING

I live in Florida, but also love Arizona this time of the year, and will be heading there in a few weeks too.

I know people who do okay on the double regimen but I wasn't one of them, darn it. My labs were all good yesterday. My hormones were spot on and I just have a little adrenal issue going on, probably from the very stressful year of travel for book stuff and baby stuff. LOL But next year should be better. I think I say that same thing about this time every year. LOL
