    I'm using PREGNYL 5000 I.U. .5ml 2x a day 12 hrs apart.. I finally made it to lunch, had a salad with chicken.. And I still feel hungry and my tummy is still grumbling

    My girlfriend started the diet 5 Days ago on the 1st (R1). Ever since she started the VLCD she says she is hungry. Myself I have not been hungry. i'm wondering if her dosing is correct. She is taking ovidac 5000 with 15mg of bacteriostatic water (sublingual) and taking about 0.5mg twice a day for a total of 1mg a day. she eats her meals and she says she is still hungry
    what should she do?

    So by that logic it would be effective in the event of a cold sore as well?

    sbells - are you eating all your allotted calories each day? Again I'd start with adding the B vitamins, potassium and extra protein. are avoiding salt where before you might not have been? If you are, you might add some salt. Many people tend to experience a drop in blood pressure when on P2. Sodium can help with that.


    skyler - If you have no improvement and are more hungry than not, and feel it's true hunger, I would start with a slight increase in dose. Do .6 (200iu) twice a day for 2 to 3 days. If you notice improvement, good. If it seems to get worse, skip a day's dosing and we'll drop the dose slightly.

    Well I guess I will stay away from the cabbage. I stalled for 2-3 days.... I lost a little today and yesterday but every little bit counts :-)

    So week one I lost 7 lbs :-)

    Can you take Raspberry Ketones while on HCG? I'm on my first day of the VLCD. I'm doing the Pregnyl injections.

    Is it possible to get your dose too high with hHCG. I did my fiirst 2 rounds with rx so this is new to me. I loaded sat, and sun. I woke up hungry today, which seems odd considering how much I ate. The bottle said 5 drops 4 times a day. They are the anumed drops.

    Twintushies, from my recent experience I would say yes you can get your dose too high with hHCG. Mine does not have a brand name on it but it contains nothing but homeopathic HCG. The directions say to take 10 drops 3x daily. I started with 8 drops 3x daily because I have a history of needing very low doses of HCG (in my last round with Corion subQ). On my 3rd day of drops (VLCD#1) I got hungry after my second dose of drops for that day, so I skipped my third dose and then the next day (yesterday) lowered my dose to 7 drops 3x daily and felt much better right away. Yesterday was a really good day with no hunger. So for now 7 drops instead of 10 3x daily seems to be the dose for me.

    Hey guys....honestly, it's easier to just do a half-dropper full 2 times a day. At rising and at going to bed. Wait 30 min before and after to have any mint or caffeine, and 15 before and after for liquids.

    Hold it under your tongue for a minute, ten swallow.

    I am on R1/VLCD1 and have a questions re: fruits and veggies. I know which ones are on protocol but I'm unsure about how much we are allowed per meal. How many ounces, cups, etc. say for cucumber, tomatoe, or apple. I have a scale for weighing my food don't know how much to weigh.

    Thanks for your help. I'm trying to make sure that I do this POP!

    The serving size depends on what else you eat that day. You can have no more than 500 calories a day. So figure the calories for your 3.5 oz meat. Then figure the calories for your fruit (I suggest a small to medium sized apples, oranges or half grapefruit. I like a good-sized handful of strawberries). Fruit calories will vary each day depending on the number of ounces in the fruit you chose. If you are eating grissini or melba or 1 T milk or the juice of a lemon, figure out those calories. Add all the calories together and you can eat vegetables for the remainder of the 500 calories.

    For example (just an example, check your own numbers), suppose you want to eat 250 calories for lunch and 250 calories for dinner. Your meat for lunch had 100 calories, a 7 oz apple had 100 calories and you didn't eat melba or milk that day. You'd have 50 calories left over to eat as vegetables. So you could choose about 6 cups of shredded lettuce, or an enormous tomato or something like that for lunch if you like.
