There is no approved shake. But Jay Robb (egg white) and Sun Warrior are ones that people have had success with. Your health food store should carry at least one of them.

Broccoli is not approved either, btw. Nor is kale.

The portion is 1 whole egg + 3 eggwhites. That is protocol. Eating them daily, however, is not.

Check the protocol for what it says about vegetarians. It might clear things up for you. Any changes you make beyond what is below is off protocol.

Many patients ask why eggs are not allowed. The contents of two good sized eggs are roughly equivalent to 100 grams of meat, but fortunately the yolk contains a large amount of fat, which is undesirable. Very occasionally we allow egg - boiled, poached or raw - to patients who develop an aversion to meat, but in this case they must add the white of three eggs to the one they eat whole. In countries where cottage cheese made from skimmed milk is available 100 grams may occasionally be used instead of the meat, but no other cheeses are allowed.

    Vegetarians

Strict vegetarians such as orthodox Hindus present a special problem, because milk and curds are the only animal protein they will eat. To supply them with sufficient protein of animal origin they must drink 500 cc. of skimmed milk per day, though part of this ration can be taken as curds. As far as fruit, vegetables and starch are concerned, their diet is the same as that of non-vegetarians; they cannot be allowed their usual intake of vegetable proteins from leguminous plants such as beans or from wheat or nuts, nor can they have their customary rice. In spite of these severe restrictions, their average loss is about half that of non-vegetarians, presumably owing to the sugar content of the milk.

no. one veggie choice only at each of your two daily meals.

Your only veggie choices are listed here:

    http://hcgdietinfo.com/diet-hcg/orig...iet-food-list/

One type of vegetable only to be chosen from the following: spinach, chard, chicory, beet-greens, green salad, tomatoes, celery, fennel, onions, red radishes, cucumbers, asparagus, cabbage.

Hi I'm a newb on day 11 of (obviously) R1. I discovered this diet through my roommate who was successful by using the drops. I began to do an enormous amount of research and decided to do SQ. Before this diet I worked out regularly five days a week by rotating running 34 miles and doing crossfit. A year ago I had an appendectomy and for whatever reason, after turning 34 shortly thereafter, I noticed that no matter how hard I worked out I could not get back to my pre-surgery weight. I'm 5'2" and my pre-fat loading weight was 124lbs. I know, it's a perfectly healthy weight and BMI (22.7,) but it's not my optimal weight for someone of my activity level and it's not what I'm used to and I didn't feel comfortable at that weight. So, I had a little less than 25lbs to lose and it seems to work for so many people and I thought I would give it a go.

I started out fantastic! I had a few issues with my loading days, as those types of foods are not normal foods I'm used to eating, but with this forum I was able to sort out most of my questions. Days 6, 7, and 8, I spent finding the correct dosage and I'm now at a place where I don't feel excruciatingly hungry. But, days 8, 9, and 10 have been at a stall at 110 lbs. I did a little bit of research and saw the info about an apple day and thought that's what I should do, however, after reading many of the posts in this forum mid day, I now realize I should've just stuck to my protocol and that stalls are normal and I'm still burning fat, even though my weight hasn't changed. I've eaten three apples so far today and was wondering if there's any point in trying to switch back to the protocol midday or should I continue to treat it as a cd?

Also, for some reason I can't easily find an answer to this question. Does the 23 day round include the two loading days and three days after you stop injecting but are still on the VLCD? Can someone just break down the 23 day round for me, please?

    Thank you so much!!

Apple days give you a psychologica boost, but they don't advance your progress. You just lose water weight that you will regain. You can eat normal protocol the second half of the day, but eliminate the fruit.

You're not considered to be in a stall unless you've had 4 days in a row with no loss. And what you've read is right...the best thing to do is just wait it out. You are likely losing inches even though the scale is not moving. When the water you are holding that is taking the place of the fat being utilized, you'll see a drop on the scale. Unfortunately, women tend to have stops and starts like this through the whole round, while men breeze through and show a loss daily.

The shortest round allowable by the protocol is 26 days: 2 days with HCT and loading, 21 days with HCG on the 500 calorie diet, and 72 hours (3 days) without HCG but on the 500 calorie diet.

Can someone please help me? I started out on hCG on 8/11 after 2 loading days. My shots were 150 iu for 2 days then dropped down to 125 iu and have remained there thru yesterday. I have not had one ounce of hunger except one time when i was around one of my sisters who was constantly talking about cakes, etc. After she left i ate a lot of nuts (my weakness) and gained plus my blood sugar was high. Since that time I have been fine as I have not been around her except on phone, etc. Then yesterday and last evening (9/8) I ate a lot of nuts again (must stop buying them) and I had gained a pound today as well as yesterday morning. The hunger is not excruciating but it is strong enough I stop doing what I am doing and go in search for food. Can you please help me? Thank you so much.

Hi, ive done hcg rounds about 6 times throughout about a 6 or 7 year span. I last did HCG about 6-7 months ago. Lost weight great but gained it all back due to some highly emotional stress going on in my life. Im highly motivated to not only lose the weight but keep it off which is very important to me. My question is, is the time since my last round enough to start another round in the next few weeks, or should I wait longer? Thanks

How many rounds did you do last year? With having done 7 rounds, if you did 2-3 last year, I'd wait longer. If you only did 1 last year, you could start again. Or if you are only doing one round to get to your goal weight, you could do it now. But if you're about to embark on a bunch of rounds and you did several rounds last year, I'd wait a bit.

    Hi,

I apologize in advance if this questions has been answered earlier. I joined a clinic and was following the Dr. Emma protocol and was VERY hungry. I made it through 6 weeks, and then stopped. I lost about 15 lbs. My last injection was September 5th. I have ordered Hcg on my own and plan to attempt this myself. My question is would I be o.k. starting my next round at 3 weeks since my last injection instead of waiting the full 6 weeks? My reasoning for this is if I wait the 6 weeks, it will put me at finishing up 8 weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas and then doing 3 weeks of Phase 3 will put me at the 1st of the year. I'm just worried about going through BOTH Thanksgiving and Christmas on Phase 2. I was on a very high dose of HCG through the clinic (around 350). I kept questioning the high dosage because they kept scratching their heads trying to figure out why I was so hungry. I want to give this protocol a try and see if I can see a difference. It's a lot of money to invest, so I don't want to screw anything up by starting early, but if I CAN start earlier, it would be better for my schedule. I have been maintaining my 15 lb. loss and staying in the 2# window since my last injection. Thank you SO much for your help in advance, and again, I'm sorry if this is a duplicate question.
