jaimeg- yes, you skip your shot completely. if your hunger starts to lessen by the end of the day you'll know that your dose was too high. if it gets a lot worse you'll know it's a little low. keep track of it, let me know, and i'll suggest a new dose.

Maggie, I am watching that blog....but I don't think I understand what she's saying. After reading it I became fearful I am muscle wasting...Is she saying HCG isn't really what is making us lose the wt, it's the 500 cal, and fat isn't really being lost. OK, so if fat isn't being lost then am I burning muscle???? It's not making sense to me, but is making me very afraid I'm doing my body some major damage, and I don't need any more than I already have of that!!!

I'm in R4P4, 4th week, and I'm having a HECK of a time!! After a few days of going into P4, I jumped up 4lbs and couldn't get back down for any amount of money or effort so I decided to go with it and up my LIW to the higher weight. Now I'm having a really difficult time staying within a couple pounds of THAT and currently am 6lbs over!! I'm not sure what way to go!

I've been so very careful with food, it's rare that I eat starch, I avoid sugar if I can and try to consume protein and veggies with some apples and oranges, and strawberries mostly. I eat some cheese and yogurt (full fat Fage) now and then and it's always a gamble every day on the scale.

In my other 2 rounds, I had no difficulty at ALL in P4. I added in new foods, ate old foods, starch, sugar, whatever and usually stayed right where I needed to be. Why is this round so different and hard? Has my body decided to rebel against the weight loss? (at my LIW, I had lost 97lbs but am currently 10 more than that) I'm terrified to eat and terrified NOT to eat. I can't start my new round until June and I'm so scared I'll gain it all back and I'm not sure why and I don't know how to control it.

Any of you go through this during a round? What do you suggest?

Thanks so much for the help!

    Skip day--dosing question for tomorrow

Margie (or whomever answers), I've skipped my injection today and had teeny tiny hunger but only this morning. I unexpectedly had to be out all day and didn't get to eat anything until around 3:00pm. I was ready to eat but not really hungry.

Anyhoo, what dose do you think I should go with tomorrow morning when I resume? I had been at 175iu but that was most definitely too high for me. I've taken 150iu and gone even lower but that was without any skip days.

That means the dose was too high. You were hungry on 150? How many days did you do it?

POobears- that happens to me often. Im on vlcd27 and every day I say it's my last shot. I have 8 more Hcg shots left but sometimes feel that my body is saying enough. The muscle pain, fatigue and occasional heart palps have scared me but my doc says increase protein. I increase protein I stall, I go back to strict protocol the symptoms come back. Any suggestions? I have 6 more lbs to reach my desired weight.

The good thing I'm not hungry or craving anything.

Have you tried spreading your meals out? And how much fluid are you getting? Sometimes people drink too much and that causes their electrolytes to get off.

Hi, I'm another new person on here. Thanks for all the great info so far! I still have some questions...

I'm on hhcg drops I got from the myhcgsource.com company. Their busines is local and they sell in a few area malls. I know that the hhcg needed to be shaken to activate but does that mean each time I use it or just before the first time? Also, does the hhcg need to be refridgerated? Finally, I've read differences in the amount of time to hold under the tongue. I'm shooting for 15 minutes. Is that about right?
Today is my first VLCD and I've had one meal - so far, so good. I don't eat shellfish so fish, chicken, and beef will be my protein. I have measured some chicken breast and 96/4 ground beef. I don't have fish, yet. I am used to looking FOR marbled steak. What cut should I look for for "no visible fat?" I want to stick with the protocol, but I'm curious about using Apple Cider Vinegar and skipping the melba toast/grissini. If this speeds the fat loss, I'm in. My goal is to lose 39 lbs and I plan see how much I can lose going 40 days. I also need to find some recipes that stay in protocol.
I wanted to start this thing with pellets and I figured I'd get some for my (possible) next round and for dh. I saw pellets at meridianhealthlabs but I was surprised to see that they listed sucrose as an inactive ingredient! intermountain doesn't have the 'blue bottle'... Does anyone have any advice on the pellets?

I suppose that's it for now. I made blueberry pancakes for my kids this morning and, without thinking, popped a frozen blueberry in my mouth. It's not the worse thing that I could do, I know. (Wild, local blueberries that I picked) I'm now more aware, though.

Usually hhcg doesn't have to be refrigerated but look at your instructions. a couple of minutes is plenty of time for hhcg. You don't have to do 15. It's absorbed almost instantly.

I don't eat beef on hcg so I can't help you there. It stalls me. You'll lose better without the grissini. The Apple cider vinegar is good for you but I don't see it helping weight loss any. Some people think it helps but I've never noticed that effect.

Set your goals realistically. Most women lose .5-.75 average. So on a 40 day round, you're likely to lose in the 25-28 pound range. Still fabulous!

Yes, I spread out my meals. I drink 3-4 liters per day. How much fluid should I be drinking?
