    I'm on my first round of hCG and am on day 2 of the vlcd. It's probably too early to panic, but I'm starving and hoping for suggestions. I'm weak and have no energy and my stomach is growling pretty much all day. I'm still super hungry even after meals. I'm not eating any carbs at all and am trying to drink lots of water/tea. I'm taking the Rx pellets twice a day. I think each pellet has a dose of 250. I've been taking one in the morning about 8:00 and the next one about 3 or 3:30 because it helps me to get through the rest of the afternoon and I don't notice I'm starving overnight. ha. Any suggestions at all would be great. I have no idea where to even begin attempting to adjust the dose.

    Please help - I am starving- no effect from the hcg at all. I posted this on another thread earlier - lots of views- no replies:

    Starving - day 3
    Help!!! - day 3 - loaded well (5 pound gain - , no reduction in hunger in loading days ate all day till midnight!). Doing sublingual - mixed the RX HCG with wound wash and am doing 166 2x's a day. I am starving!!! The only effect I feel is slight indigestion after taking the HCG. Holding under my tounge for 30 minutes. One thing - I did not put the powder in the fridge when I got it - didn't know I was suppose to until 4 days ago. Did put it in after mixing - could it have gone bad? Shoulsd I up the dose? I can't take another day of this hunger. I did eat two apples -see where that is not recommended - but I've been starving since 11 this morning and that was way before the second apple!

    Try making soups. Filling and may hold you over. Some hunger is normal and the vets say that the hunger subsides by the 4th day. If not, then your dosage is off and it would be a good idea to run it past the vets to see what they recommend. I did hHCG, so I am of no help there. Sorry. But yea, try soups! There is a great gormet HCG recipe book out there, as well as Takisha's thread, called Chef and Foodie here. She has posted a bunch of delish P2 recipes. I am in P3 now, so modified her egg drop soup and had that just moments ago. Super delish and I am stuffed. In my next round I plan on eating a lot of soups at the beginning of P2 to curb the hunger pangs. But, it does get better! Hang in there!

    I doubt it is the hcg, and I am no doctor, but scurvy sounds like a bit of a reach. I get a rash like this from sufates, which use to be in wine and on food in salad bars - not sure if it still is - but also in some medicine, hair dye, etc. Not sure if it is the same rash, but there is a woman on another thread - Leasa - that had a rash and her doctor thought she had lupus, but turned out not to be.     Hi guys. I've got a complicated dosing question for any of the vets out there!

    This is my second round and I'm now doing injections of liquid Hucog. I also had issues with dosing all through R1 with hCG prescribed by a naturopath (no idea what brand)--I'd be ok for a few days, then I'd get hungry and have to adjust up or down. I bounced around between 140IU, 145IU and 150IU, never finding my sweet spot. I also had a helluva time stabilizing, in spite of doing a long round and never cheating once (on P2 or P3). In fact, I finally had to adjust my LIW upward and even then only really stabilized at 3.8lbs over my LIW on my very last week of what was technically P4 (even though I was still really eating P3).

    Anyway, here's what's going on now: I started loading last Monday (July 4th). I was injecting 150IU and was feeling great until Friday when I got really hungry. I skipped Saturday and felt better, so I backed down to 145IU yesterday. That day I had food cravings all day and was starving by bedtime--to the point where I didn't think I was going to be able to sleep! I woke up hungry again this morning and figured that meant my dose was too low, so I injected 150IU again this morning.

    The starvation reared its ugly head again mid-morning and I was really scared that I wasn't going to make it through the day... I ate an apple and just gritted my teeth, bracing myself for a rough day, thinking I had misjudged things and should've actually gone lower with my dose. Then, after I ate lunch (chicken and tomato) I was totally stuffed! In my experience, the hunger from a dose that's too high isn't alleviated by eating. So then I started thinking that maybe I just needed to let the hCG fully take effect and that 150IU was the right dose for today after all. (I've pretty much come to terms with the fact that I'm going to have to devise some sort of tiered dosing regimen--ie 150IU, then 145 for a few days, then 140, then back to 150 then a skip day or something like that.)

    Now as the afternoon wears on I'm starting to feel hungry again. I ate an orange a little bit ago, but I'm still feeling the beginning of that gnawing hunger I recognize so well from my last round. I'm totally confused about what to do at this point... I just wish I could find a good dose and have everything work the way it's supposed to!

    I know the stock advice is to skip a day and see what happens... I'm just really frustrated with this stupid dosing issue and am really that hoping someone has some better advice on what to do long term. I don't know if I'll make it through another round constantly adjusting and still feeling like I'm about to gnaw my arm off every few days!!!

    Does anyone have any experience with having this much difficulty finding a dose that works for them?

    i had a lot of issues in the beginning. unfortunately it takes about 3 days to find out if you have the right dose or not. for me going down to 125 was the key, now i am at 127 and that seems to be my sweet-spot.

    if you are feeling hunger after you eat, your dose is too high. what about water? drink a full glass of water, wait 10 minutes and gauge how you feel. sometimes my hunger is really thirst.

    you could skip a day and start at 125 - hold there for 2 days or so and go up slowly like to 127 and wait 2 days. that worked for me. i am doing ovidac and it is pretty potent stuff.

    Does it ever take an extra day for Protein Day weight to come off? I'm so discouraged. I gained 7# on the last day of P2, making me way above my LDW. I had a Fage day two days ago and dropped 2.2 pounds, then followed it by a high protein day and dropped a whopping 0.0 pounds. Doing another fage day today, but I'm really discouraged by this protein day thing. I really need to get this straightened out this week (I'm nervous because I leave for camp on Saturday and want it figured out before I go)... Does anyone have any suggestions of what I can do? Also, do you think since a HP day didn't work for me, a steak day would have the same effect?

    I'll try to keep this short and sweet. I started a round a while back and ended up with shingles and had to quit 10 days in, that was 6 weeks ago, I knew that I would gain because I stopped early. But Ive gained 14lbs... Ive been eating p4 and somehow it got away from me. I wont be able to start another round until August 12th due to vacations and family events and I know there is no such thing as a "quick fix" but do you think that maybe going back to P3 style eating and cutting carbs back out will help me cut some of this gain? UGH! I know its too late for a steak day or high protein day right?? Any advice is helpful.

    Thanks Julie. I really appreciate this. I will try the cocnut oil again this weekend. I didn't use it yesterday and I also exercised and lost 0.4. So not sure if i lost because of exercise or if it was the absence of coconut oil. I am trying almonds today. I made the cocoa crack with butter yesterday and it didn't affect me. I am hoping that almonds do not affect me either because if they don't I am having mugcake tommorrow morning Thanks for the reply

So, if you lost another lb after those 72 hours, you, you have a 3lb leeway, to stabilize to, rather than just two. Looks like you are still under your LIW, so no worries. I think we forget that our weight is always going to fluctuate a bit here and there, so I'm with Julie, .2 sounds like normal fluctuation.
    Thanks Patty. No gain today. I lost 0.4 due to exercise. Not sure if the coconut oil had an effect or not. But I will wait until this weekend and further down in P3 to try it again. thanks for all your help. My new food today is almonds. If it works out ok I am trying either mugcake or almond butter tommorrow.

    I am getting ready to start round 4. I wondered if any body had omitted all meat and just had the fage yogurt. Either 0 percent or 2 percent. I don't mean just doing it as a correction day, I mean eating it every day. I'm so sick of meat!
