    that made it more confusing. if you haven't taken a dose yet, add a cc. those directions give you 400 iu's per cc, and they're starting you at .5 which is 200. that's too high for most, we've found. i'd recommend 150, which would be .3 cc's.

    if you've already taken a dose, then you have 5000 div by 11.5, which is 434 iu's per cc (which makes it harder to figure your dose). if that's the case, then take .35 cc's which will give you a dose of 152.

    I posted this elsewhere because I forgot where this thread was located. I figure I'll have a better chance of getting a helpful response here! Thanks in advance for any/all response.

    I have added in 30-45min of walking daily (for the last couple weeks, while in p3) and I notice a bad smell like ammonia afterward. I've been told I need to add carbs but obviously that's not what I want to do in p3... Ideas?
    I drink tons of water also, at the very least a gallon a day.

    I am on D7 of R1P2 (OP) and I have been very strict to the diet, but I really have had trouble losing weight. But today, I totally forgot my fruits and I dropped 2 lbs after 2 days of a stall. Do you think that is a coincidence or could fruit be affecting me????

    I am on my R2 D4 and haven't been losing as I did before. In fact I gained 1.2 pound yesterday, eating my "go to" meals from R1 (really simple meals), and getting all my water in. I am wondering if my unopened powder corion can be the problem. How old is too old for these unopened vials? They have been stored at room temperature.

    Hi there! I am now on VLCD6 and not only have I stalled, but I'm also hungry quite a bit. What could I be doing wrong? I'm doing SL troches. I'm chalking my stall to the fact that I'm ovulating and might be retaining fluids, but what about the hunger??? Also, is it bad to mix proteins? Like, can I add skim cottage cheese to chicken breast? Thanks!

    steph- it might be that 2 fruits is too much for you. what's your "story"? weight, age, height, frame size, fat distribution?

    phoenix- it's best to store it in the fridge so the temp and humidity is constant, but i doubt that's the problem. probably just temporary water restriction. did you eat more sodium yesterday than normal?

    liz- how many iu's are in that troche? the problem with those is you are not able to adjust your dose easily. you do NOT want to be hungry. there's nothing that says you can't mix proteins, but be cautious with the egg and cottage cheese subs- you won't lose as much with them.

    Thanks for the info... I bought several vials at once, and didn't want to stop while I bought a fresh supply.

    After further thought, I think the gain/stall might be the celery I mixed with lettuce, as well as the Lawrey's Garlic Powder that I returned to, which contains maltodextrin. Oops....

    I am so hungry I can't sleep which is why I'm on here. I'm doing body shapers and this is my 2nd VLCD. I'm 5'1 and started at 170 pounds. I'm taking body shapers "real" hcg, not homeopathic 6 drops 2x a day which is supposed to equal 200iu's of hcg a day. Have done protocol exactly as written in Simeons and am starving. Any suggestions?

    i don't know where they got that dose, but generally the minimum for SL is 166 twice a day- so you need to increase your amount. just keep in mind you won't be able to do as many days. i emailed them about it at one point and never heard back from them. the newer studies have people using as much as 250 twice a day- but i'd start at 166 and see how you do. BUT, since you've been low, i'd take 200 twice a day tomorrow, to get your levels up more quickly.

    Switching over to SL after completing 40 SQ injections ???

    Hi Margie and Colleen (or do prefer being called grammy now?)

    I have done SQ HCG for I don't know how many rounds (I cycled in last few rounds after doing two proper rounds). I lost 70 pounds and was only 10 pounds away from my ideal weight. Then life happened and I started eating all that I should not have eaten. I gained back almost 30 pounds. I also think that I gained disproprtionately because I did not follow the time interval instructions given by Dr S.

    On Colleen's advice, I waited for 13 weeks before starting a new round on July 3rd. It has been 20 injections today with a skip day every week. Unfortunately I kept on losing, cheating, and gaining back the lost weight. The result is that I have effectively lost just 7 pounds (nett) even though I have lost more.

    Now I am back on track and committed. I still need to lose around 30 pounds. I do not want to start yet another round AFTER waiting for 4 months just to lose 10-15 more pounds.

    I have a thought which I want to run through both of you (anyone else is welcome to pitch in too). Is it possible for me to switch over to SL after completing my 40 injections? All the sites that sell HCG claim that HCG does not cause immunity when consumed orally. If this is doable, I would like to lose all the weight I need to lose in this round itself and then try to maintain for good.

    What say ???

    personally i don't think immunity is the biggest issue any more- it's the strain the protocol puts on the body, and your body needing to stabilize at a lower weight. you'd probably have to be on the protocol for another 50+ days to lose 30#, since your losses generally slow down when you get closer to goal- so i wouldn't advise it. i'd do another 20-25 days, then take another break- since you've gone up and down a lot i think you'd need even longer than normal for your body to "set" that new weight.
