    Pregnenolone with HCG

I have been taking a pregnenolone supplement that has made me gain about 5 lbs in water weight due to my GP trying to balance my hormones. It's no big deal because I know it's for the greater good and I have 15 -20 lbs to lose anyway (with the water weight) from my baby weight. My question is should I continue with the pregnenolone or stop while I am on HCG? My GP isn't on board with this diet so she didn't respond to my question. I started my drops from Triumph today.

Thanks in advance for any insight.

HCG is a hormone protocol. It will in itself do some hormone balancing for you.

Dr. Simeone took patients off all medications during HCG treatment. Since you are not getting any kind of quality of life benefit from it, it could be a good idea to stop it during HCG.

Pregnenolone is a "mother hormone," and it lifts your progesterone in particular. It wouldn't hurt you to keep taking it. It's totally up to you. My first two rounds I stayed on all my supplements and that included pregnenolone. It was part of my migraine protocol.

Just looking at the different topics and this caught my eye because I take a pregnonolone supplement. I was having migraines every night around 3 am and the pregnonolone stopped them cold so I am glad I don't have to stop taking it.
On a side note, I had to figure out entirely on my own, probably 6 months of googling that my migraines were hormonal, doctor wanted to put me on a blood pressure medicine and I refused. Then I just tried the pregnonolone knowing it was a precursor and hoping for the best. I am surprised that there are doctors who have the knowledge to actually help their patients. I wish I could find one of those.
