Questions about fat loss ~ Help is greatly appreciated!

    Hello ladies and gents,

I'm on day 4 of phase 2 (VLCD) on the HCG diet. I'm feeling ok so far, it's been rough, but it's getting better. So far I've lost 4.4 pounds. That's pretty insane to me and I'm really happy by the loss! But I'm a bit of a skeptic concerning this diet, and I don't think the pounds I've lost have been from fat. I'm pretty sure I've only lost water weight and poop weight (lol, what do you call that?), but I want to know when I'll start to lose FAT instead of these other things. I have 35-40 pounds to lose and I know I won't lose that amount in this phase. Once I pass phase 2, I will start incorporating exercise and muscle training.

So the question is, will I really lose FAT during this phase? How can I tell? I'm trying to do this diet as healthy and smart as possible. Thanks for the help!

    Hello and welcome
Yes, we all lose water and inflammation the first 4 days or so, normal.

If you are using hcg, real hcg it will pull 2500 calories from your abnormal fat each day which is why you only need 500 calories of approved foods, see p2 list at home page if you need to.

After the first week losses will begin to slow but better than any other "diet" out there.

Yes, you'll lose fat on hcg, otherwise it would pull muscle and if that were the case we'd all be a mess so
just sit back work the program and relax/lose

On average, not daily but in an average round females can expect to lose on average .5 per day. Amazing, huh?

Remember you are also detoxing and every 2 weeks dont forget to measure. If you didnt measure on day one, go ahead and do it now.

Also stalls are normal read this

I'd advise you to join some support threads or thread and interact with the other "losers" if you are feeling unsure and pay particular attention to what the Sr's say.
You'll here alot of rogue talk but we know for sure the Simeons Protocol works

Make sure you have read Pounds and Inches, at the home page or this is very good too:

If you are injecting, and I hope you are, and doing 30 days or more make sure you skip an injection once per week same day(but dont skip on your Tom, time of mos)
    and
    Good luck

Like Kansas said the initial fast drop is usually water weight and whatever is filling up your stomach (and colon) from loading. But we've had several members do the bodpod and submersion body fat tests done and they did not lose their muscle weight beyond the slight reduction in muscle that comes from being lighter. Their weight loss was from fat only.
