    How soon after pregnancy?

Had a baby 6 weeks ago, was wondering when can I do hcg again (what is the recommended wait time)? Or how soon did other new moms do the diet.

I did it last year, went from 210 to 165, then got pregnant!!
    R1P2 started 210.6 ended 176.4 = -34.2
    R1P3 started 176.4 ended 183.4 = +7

    R2P2 started 183.4 ended (I hope 148.4)

having hcg in your system may decrease milk production. I would be very careful. You may be able to adjust your diet to a high fat paleo diet and lose weight that way while nursing. Your body has been used to burning stored fats with the hcg and then being pregnant. Keep it burning fat, and not revert to burning carbs and you will most likely lose the remaining weight effortlessly.

    Round 1 ended 3/25 30
    Round 2 ended 6/27 26
    LDW 185.8

8/17 started high fat/adequate protein/low carb diet (nutritional ketosis):
    Starting weight: 185.4
    11/19 168.6

    Thanks.

I stopped breastfeeding after 5 weeks, does that change your answer? I gained weight quickly after hcg bc I got pregnant right after phase 2 of a second round. I'm planning on dieting and eating phase 3 like, but am eager to start a new round.

My baby is 3 months today, and I waited specifically for the 3 mos mark to give my body plenty of time to recover hormonally (not that it really is for the whole first year, but I digress.) However, I am nursing exclusively, too. I would still consider just a few more weeks, personally, because this is a huge deal mentally and physically, as you know.

That is what I was going to suggest- at least 3 months. Your body really needs the time to recover from pregnancy and birth. =) Then go for it =)

My OB/GYN Dr is actually the one who will administer the HCG for me and I have to go in weekly for BP checks, etc. She told me it's best to wait until you have stopped nursing -- she will not prescribe the HCG if you are still nursing. I start my first round in 2 weeks -- I am so excited. I have been studying this diet for the last 5 months -

Swiss, how long ago did u have your baby? I'm no longer nursing but wanted to wait till my baby was sleeping thru most the night before I started. When are u starting, we could be buddies if we start at the sme time?

Okay saw the to week start, how long are you doing it for? Maybe I can start during round 2 if you have to do it again. I would suggest joining a thread in phase 2 forum when u start

Baby just stopped nursing at 4.5 months old. I plan to load on April 9 & 10. Baby is sometimes up 1x per night but otherwise sleeps almost 12 hrs -- I am very lucky!
    Starting weight including load: 175
    Currently in Phase 2
