I actually see doses this low all the time. It's more common on a subsequent round rather than a first one though. Glad you found your sweet spot! It's different for everyone.

I realize this is a really old post, but I need to reference it to gain some understanding about dosing ....

Grammy, I'm a bit confused. There seem to be 2 schools of thought on mixing HCG.

    1. 1:1 approach: 5000iu mixed with 5 ml Bac water

    2. 1:2 approach: 5000iu mixed with 10mL Bac water

I have been so confused on which is correct. I always thought you favored the 2nd approach but in this post where hcgchica advocates mixing 5000u hcg with 5mL Bac water (with standard dosing) you didn't disagree with it.

I'm not trying to be a stinker, but have had had issues with dosing in the past which may be traced back to the mixing approach. e.g. maybe my mix was too diluted? In fact, my round last fall was an epic fail because I wasn't losing weight. I mixed 5000u with 10mL dosing at 125iu. This is way more diluted than had I mixed 5000u with 5mL and dosed at 125iu. I don't know if the mixing was the culprit or not but am really wondering now.

Previous rounds I've done through clinics who premixed for you, so you have no clue how diluted it is (if they use 10mL or 5mL back water to mix with 5000iU hcg).

I just started a round from ushcgshots.com where they instruct you to mix 5000u with 5mL back water and dose at 17units (175u). I'm so confused. Please help clarify.

Thanks so much Grammy. No disrespect intended, just looking to have some success with this round and avoid frustrations from past rounds.

The biggest issue I see with mixing 1:1 is most people use 1cc syringes and they have a hard time seeing the numbers on the syringe and finding the lines to adjust the dose. Easiest way to remedy that is to buy the 1/2 cc syringes. That is what I do. I prefer the 1:1 mix, I think it gives better hunger control for me personally and by using 1/2cc syringes it's super easy to adjust the dose because the #'s are spaced out on the syringe and easy to see.

I hate and despise the 1:1 mix. I deal with problems with it every single day. I see way more hunger from people on it, and it's a nightmare to adjust the dose with any accuracy. And I wouldn't dose at 170 iu. That's likely much too high for you, honey. Since you've done previous rounds, I'd actually start at 125 iu. good luck!

Thanks Grammy. Losses first week were 8#. That's good. Now I'm 2 days into the 2nd week and up 1/2# then down 1/2#. Gee, I didn't think it would slow down this quickly!

Anyway, I have the worse case of insomnia. Could it be the dose? I've been taking 125 iU on this 1:1 mix.

    Thank you in advance

Insomnia is part of hcg usually. it's even mentioned in the protocol. And it's very common to stall in the 2nd week. I hate that 1:1 mix like I mentioned before. Sigh. I see way more problems with people who do a super potent mix. I don't know how it even got started.

When I was taking the homeo drops for first 3 days, I was super hungry too! Then got 500 iu pellets and my hunger is gone! I also drink low carb whey protein shakes and they keep me full.

I'm glad it's working for you but you may start getting hungry. That's an insanely high dose.
