You Are Stronger than You Know-- No Excuses

We all decided to take HCG to make a real change in our health, appearance, and attitude towards ourselves.

Lately, I have noticed a number of people making excuses for cheating or "falling off the wagon":
    • "I couldn't help myself"
    • "It wasn't my fault"
    • "I had to"
    • "I was starving/embarrassed"
    • "They made me"
    • "There was nothing else to eat"
    • Etc.

Every time I see this, I wonder why we just aren't honest with ourselves and say:
    • "I wanted it, so I ate it"
    • "I was too lazy to plan"
    • "I was afraid to not blend in with everyone else"

Hasn't making excuses contributed to our being overweight?

This diet requires that your head be in the game to see it to its successful conclusion. Every time you stop allowing the excuses and the fear, you find you are stronger than before.

Take courage from those who post their victories. If they can do it, so can you. Some of the long-timers here, including the mods, belong in the HCG Hall of Champions. They overcame their personal challenges and lost a whole lot more than 40 pounds.

If you cheat or fail, then man up, woman up and be honest with yourself. It's not the end of the world and it's nobody's fault but your own, but when you win, it's nobody's victory but your own! Tomorrow you get up and start again.

The reward is not only improved health and appearance, but more importantly, SELF-RESPECT.

I'm looking forward to seeing even more Success Stories. Have confidence in yourself. You are stronger than you know.

I applaud anybody who sticks this out. I'm not gonna lie, the past week has been very hard for me and I've been miserable most of the time for several days. But I haven't strayed from the protocol because... well, lots of reasons. Right now I'm deep into detox, starving, and feel like crap. I'm committed to seeing the detox through and resetting my hypothalamus once and for all. Anybody else who can do this diet with improved health as their ultimate goal and a sincere commitment to detox and change has my respect.
    Please leave only your footprints.

As someone else has said, "Being overweight is hard. Losing weight is hard. Choose your hard."

Congrats on your perseverance! Your ticker shows you as about halfway to your goal!

Do see a mod about dosing to deal with hunger and weakness. You are a champion.

Thanks, itsybitsy! I am working on my dosage issues now, experimenting with different amounts.

Yeah, one of the things that's keeping me on protocol is the pounds and inches I've lost. Even if one also has loftier goals (heh), that sure doesn't suck!

Haunted, the first week of my second round SUCKED BIG *** DONKEY BALLS because my dosage was too high (I mixed it wrong), but I stayed on protocol, because I knew eating off protocol was:

    1. NOT going to fix the hunger
    2. NOT going to help my journey

I persevered, and I saw it through. Good for you for hanging in there!

Zoey, have you talked to Grammy about your dose? Are you doing RX or HHCG?

This is your last chance. After this, there is no turning back. You take the blue pill - the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill - you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit-hole goes.

Thank you so much for this post! I talked to someone today who was worried about cheating when another member told them, you could just do a steak day after!!! I was mortified. We are here to learn how to treat our bodies and food better in the long run. Be strong, have some balls! Look temptation in the eye and then tell it to eff off. Everyday we make choices, make good ones today and you'll reap the rewards tomorrow.
