I started first low calorie day today. And I am thinking to do the hcg 2.0 plan, mainly because when I did hcg in past, the protein portions never really satisfied me. The food was ok, but I always wanted a little more fish, or a little larger chicken serving. I'm thinking on P2 that itch will be scratch. I didn't really eat that much today stayed on plan, but I ate more fish (tilapia) than I would have on Dr. S's original protocol. Calories today were 525, and less than 20 carbs, but That is with no fruit and no breadsticks. I haven't felt hungry for food so much as hungry for the activity of eating. Does anyone else ever feel that? There's no snacking, or taking a bite of something not on plan--I think I must nosh a whole lot when not on plan. Because I'm here to tell ya, I'm missing that! Hoping to get used to it as time goes by. And will appreciate not eating once I see the scales move downward. Hope everyone had a good weekend, and look forward to hearing about your programs in future.
If you're planning on doing the 2.0 plan you are allowed 30 net carbs (from LC vegies, not bars, fruit etc.) So you have a few extra carbs to use if you feel the need to nosh. A few celery sticks or something like that. I've heard dill pickles help maybe even a few olives if it fits into your calorie/carb allotment.

Thanks Jaob, I read that about dill pickles too! And I like dill pickles. I did really well yesterday, but about 9:30 p.m. I felt a little hungry, and read that on 2.0 you can have sugar free jerky. I actually had some sugar free here, so had a few bites. I don't know if I should do all the time, but it sure tasted good, and could be a game changer for me. Worried that it might affect my loss this a.m. But weighed after waking, loss of 4.8. Ill take that. i gained 2.6 during loading--not as much as I remember from years ago, so this first drop did eat a little into regular weight! So far its good--but I'm still fighting the urge to snack. Maybe the celery or pickle would help. Getting airfryer delivered today. Anxious to try that! Have a great week--enjoy before u get back o n strict p2!

I feel like I'm stalking you around the threads but agree with the 'just need a little more protein' feeling. I'm renovating my house and doing some of the work myself and getting on a ladder light-headed isn't a good plan.

Also the activity part of eating resonates. My plan this round is to not try to make my meals taste interesting or varied, just plain nutrition at 2 set times/day to get my head out of the food as comfort/stress relief/boredom activity.
I've always believed I wouldn't have a weight problem if someone fed me like a dog - same food every day at the same time!

Misscast I am with you, as much as I love cooking, feeding myself is a necessity rather than a gourmet ritual...so as basic as it can be is ok for me... today is vlcd day 1... so here we go

Misscast, I think with doing the 2.0, on a ladder you DEFINITELY need to be careful! You do not want to be light headed! Be careful on a ladder wi not much food. I’m like you, peruse the different threads, I’ll even read really old threads if subject I’m interested in.

I have done so well on this 2.0, with more protein portions, very few carbs. Vic day 5 and down 14 lbs?!! I’ve never lost like that, but I am doing the Lipo/b12 shot every 4 days. Wonder if that is the difference? Plus no fruit. HOWEVER, I am missing the fruit s lot. Wonder how much it would hurt to add an apple , the one fruit—? My calorie counts have been very low, and I know carbs have been around 15-20 daily. Wondering if adding fruit now would mess everything up. I’m not hungry so much as my Stomache growls a lot!

Good luck to everyone on or about to get on board!

Dubbles-WOW! 14 lbs. in 5 days...that's amazing! How are you doing now? Did you add the fruit? I think if it would make or break whether you were able to continue on plan then just figure out how to make it work within the net carb limit.
Well...here goes VLCD1!! I gained 3.4 loading lbs. I am prepared with my cold brewed coffee, homemade vegie soup, chicken breast and hubby even BBQd some tri tip steak for me!!! The hardest part for me is giving up the wine! My plan is to abstain but if an event comes up I will just fit it in to my carb count.
Hope all is well with everyone!

Jaob, thanks, I am happy with current weight loss. But it has definitely slowed down now. Today was vlc #9, and now down 14.8, where else but on hcg can you lose weight like that without feeling starved. I'm with you on the fruit, I really believe it would make the whole process more palatable--but worry it triggers my sweet tooth. Jury out on if I will add that.

Good luck with your round. We hang out here on this thread, but more people seem to hang out in the January, Leez's loaders. Come on over if you like!

And omg, putting salt in coffee as someone suggested on forum here, is totally made black coffee drinkable for me. It is wonderful, I may get used to it black!

Thanks for the salt in the coffee trick!! I checked out the Leez's loaders thread, but it seems most people are doing OP. I was hoping more people were doing 2.0 but I will keep posting here just in case someone wants to join me. If nothing else it will be kind of a journal.
I'm on day 3 and I've lost down to preload weight...happy with that!! I haven't been hungry and feel great. So far I'm just eating pretty much the same foods each day but will experiment with recipes (staying within my calorie and carb limit). I wish the best for everyone!!

Jaob, I feel like I should update my post from 1-10. I did do the 2.0 protocol up till late yesterday. On vlc day 10 I decided to switch back to Simeon's protocol. I found I lost well, lost 14.6 lbs over the first 10 very low calorie days, but I really missed having the fruit and prob the grissini stick (tho I haven't had those yet). HCG2,0 works. It is basically a "ketosis" diet and I researched and began to be afraid that I would just shoot up in P3 if I went back to eating some carbs at that time, and I dont want to forego fruits forever. In 2010/2011 I lost almost 50 lbs, with the original protocol, so I decided to double back and go with that. It may take a little longer, but I really want to do these rounds and phases properly and keep/maintain any weight loss.

The decision is up to you, and I hope whatever you decide it is successful! Keep us posted1

I am happy you are doing well. I never have great losses and have done many rounds since 2011 but i always did my fruits...usually apple or strawberries. Apples were most satisfying. I am glad u broke thru the hcg resistance and are doing well. Much success to you. I am on P4 but check in weekly for accountability,
