    Well 553 is not much better than the original protocol. My calories are 810 which gives me leeway for salad dressing. Today's dressing was 1T thousand island, 1T balsamic vinegar, 1T ACV, one egg yolk, whirred with the stick blender. I think that is around 11 carbs. Right now I have about 320 calories left for dinner. If you use dressing, I assume you have to count the fat calories, and any sugar calories like from the balsamic vinegar.

    I don't think I lost anything yesterday. Looking forward to tomorrow.

    Hello - I don't post much here, but wanted to jump in as I'm starting another round of hcg 2.0 next week! I've done one round successfully so far and really enjoyed the extra protein and veggie choices. I don't use too much of the allowed oils - maybe a TB of coconut oil a day to cook veggies, max. I also enjoy having egg whites and/or a protein shake for breakfast with 2.0.

    553 calories are ONLY her protein calories. She still gets 30 carbs work of veggies and up to 3 TB of coconut or mct oil (1 TB per meal) if she wants them and/or tolerates them.

    As for the dressing, there is no counting of fat calories on HCG 2.0. But your "fat calories" are really only supposed to come from coconut oil and mct oil.

    The whole reasoning of hcg 2.0 is LEAN protein + low carb veggies + healthy oils as needed. In the book he says you'll get the best results by keeping your menu low-fat.

    Thanks for the info. I thought he was saying *no extra fats*, *only* the fats from your meat. So I didn't get why he was saying anything about oil, but I did see that you can use a tiny bit of MCT. I only read the second half of the book, because it was boring when he went over the same old stuff as Simeons manuscript. I'll have to go back and read the beginning. I did use coconut oil 1T in my coffee this morning.

    I do not do well with added oils in P2, on any protocol, so I do not add them.

    And you don't want fatty meats, either. They recommend P/F+C > 3.

    question....I am having hunger issues about an hour before drops, I wait the hour take drops, im fine. I eat and im immediately hungry again. painfully hungry. which was
    my issue, with my old pellets.. being this hungry is making me want to eat the fruit I still have around here. but , I wont.
    I am taking the recommended 10 drops 3 times a day. yes, they are real 3x6x10x. so my question is do I lessen the drops and by how many to start?
    a few years ago, I used this same brand and had great results but only did 6 drops, I think....
    my protein calories I went a little over cuz I miscalculated but my carbs are at 4.

    Here's my take on the oils issue:

    The protocol is very lean protein and very low carbs from veggies. That's it.

    He does go on to try to change the paradigm about cheats. On OP, it's all or nothing. You follow the protocol exactly, or it's a cheat (and likely, a gain). 2.0 is actually a little more forgiving, in that if you can stay with it longer by adding a tiny bit of oil, do that. Understand that your losses may not be as great, but if it's salad dressing or donuts, eat the salad dressing for god's sake, and keep going.

    Feeling ok with results so far, it's still super early in the process. I presume I'm *just* getting into ketosis today/tomorrow.

    I'm using fats, tiny <1tbs of cream in morning coffee, cooked chicken last night in small amount of EVOO. My total calories are right around 600 and I haven't been hungry, no tummy growling, no headaches, feel pretty good. My hcg injections are mixed with B-12 and a MIC formula and I have to say I'm a bit surprised I don't have a bit more energy (I'm not sluggish or tired but I'm not feeling like I'm getting anything extra from the included supplements). I started Biotin yesterday as well, as my R1 years ago I lost a TON of hair, I was using hhcg drops at that time and I am certain that I was starving myself. R2 3 years ago didn't cause any hair loss and that round, like this was prescription injectable hcg. Just covering my butt (or hair in this instance!).

    Are you doing 2.0? The only "allowed" fats are coconut oil and mct oil - just FYI! Good luck, sounds like you're doing well.

    I always take biotin on P2 too - along with a multi, Vitamin D3 and a probiotic --- plus magnesium at night to prevent leg cramps.

    If you only have 4 carbs, you are not eating any veggies. Don't add fruits, just add tons of veggies as you burn more calories by eating/chewing/digesting them than what they contain.

    I chop up a bunch of the sturdier veggies (cabbages, onion, cilantro, parsley) and save them as toppers for the more delicate things like spinach or lettuce. That way it is mostly prepared and easier to assemble my salad with meat and dressing.

    My homeopathic hcg says 8 drops 3 times a day or 5 drops 4 times a day, and I think that is stupid so I take 6 drops 4 times a day, because then it is 24 drops a day whichever option I choose.

    I like his attitude. I did see where he allows 1T at each meal for mct oil, but I didn't see coconut. I just committed to coconut oil, half T in each mug of coffee and I have a new dressing recipe.

    Lynne's Dressing: 1 part coconut oil
    1 part ACV
    1 part balsamic vinegar
    - combine and set on a warmer plate, just enough heat to soften the coconut oil
    - blend with a stick blender until blended
    - store at room temp
    Serving size: 3T per meal

    AFM: This is vlcd day 22 and I am still down 14 lbs, but not upset about it. I am planning a loss for tomorrow. It is hard to gauge my losses when I don't sleep 8 hours. Looks like I am sticking it out for 30 days, which is next week Thursday.
