    Butters - I hear you. Too bad there are no magic formulas we can use to maintain the weight loss. Back in late 2010, early 2011 I lost 25 pounds. I kept it off for almost 4 years. Then, had a very close family member pass away who was a mentor to me. My dog, another best friend, I had to put down due to illness.

    I kinda lost it and just wanted comfort. I turned to food for my comfort/supports. I stopped planning my meals and keeping my house stocked with good food choices. So, the pounds slowly started creeping back up until I was 40 pounds overweight before I stopped feeling sorry for myself and decided to start hcg again this year.

    I can't say I will never feel sorry for myself again and turn to foods. I'm just not built that way. I can say that when I gain the weight, I now know of a way to quickly get it off again. I'm the type that needs quick results. So far almost 30 pounds gone and 10 left to go. I feel great and so happy I found hcg instead of trying a weight program that may take off 1 - 2 pounds a week.

    Hang in there. I know the support of this group really helps. Just kick myself that I didn't turn here for support years ago instead of foods. But, can't cry over spilled milk. I did the 40 pounds to myself, not the hcg protocol.

    Hi! I'm back. I did a 2.0 30 day round in October/November and now I'm back at 2.0 to lose the remaining pounds I have left to get off. I started on Tuesday so today is vlcd 4. I'm doing a short round.

    Butters- I know what you mean. I am starting to think that I will never maintain my weight... I keep it off for 1 or 2 years and then it creeps back up. This time it was after a pregnancy but still.. I have done HCG many times. My husband also thinks its a bull**** diet and that I yoyo and I do see that I do this but I feel like keeping the weight off for years is still pretty darn good. I love food, this is my issue. Its not the diets fault. I can do the maintence for a long time but then eventually I start to want starbucks carmel machiatos or fried chicken or pizza.... I give in a little and my body gains weight so quickly.... its crazy how even after a long time of holding my weight I can still gain weight if I deviate from low carb. I notice I can have a lot of fat in my diet and any protein or fruit but if I want to add those things above or cookies, I am done.

    I do this diet because it gives quick results and I can't seem to be patient anymore with other diets. I am back as well and starting a new round. I am the heaviest I have ever been not being pregnant and need to do probably 2 or 3 rounds to get back to my old self. I like this 2.0 protocol better as I always had a hard time eating the protein without getting sick from not having oil or something to cook in. I tried chicken broth and it was ok but after 2 weeks even that made me sick. I do fine with MCT oil or coconut oil. I have to be careful not to add more than 2 or 3 tbsp but if I do this I still lose almost the same amount of weight as old protocol, maybe 2-3 lbs less. For the satisfaction I get on this 2.0 diet and no tiredness or headaches, I will take it.

    Hi Mist. Welcome back. I'm on VLCD2. Only dropped 1/2 pound since yesterday. Not happy but better than gaining. I need to find my groove.

    I hear ya about 2.0. After I do 2 weeks POP, I'm switching to 2.0 and will continue until my drops run out. I figure I'll run out of drops around VLCD30.

    2.0 I can tolerate for longer periods because of the new choices of foods. 2.0 really doesn't make you feel like you're eating low calories. I just don't like the part about no fruit. Oh well, do POP and get bored or do 2.0 and give up fruit for a few weeks?

    Thanks for the welcome! It's been a little while since I checked in here. So, I dropped the MCT and coconut oil as I was using it as an excuse to use other oils and "sneaking" in a little here and there. I really didn't give it a real chance to discover if it hurt or helped otherwise because of that so I just had to cut out all oils and that be the end of that.

    Ok, so ALL my calories should be protein calories. Veggie (and MCT) calories don't count, just don't go over 20 carbs (or was that 30?).

    I'm having some problems with excessive fatigue. I don't remember being this tired and fatigued with my previous rounds several years ago. Any ideas, anyone? The only thing I can think of is that I go too long in between meals whereas in the past on OP, the fruit carbs were giving me a boost whereas there are no quick carbs on 2.0. The fatigue problem is worrying me though, not sure if my HCG is bad (not much hunger though), or dose is too high, or something deeper?

    So far, I'm P2 D26 and 13.8 lbs down. Started at 190 before loading, now 176.2 I haven't weighed daily, just went to every now and then when i hit my first stall and started cheating. lol

    Thank you! It looks like you ARE doing great! Don't beat yourself up too much over rogue days, just get back in the saddle and keep on. In the scope of your life, a few extra days is really nothing. I guess I really like the 2.0 mindset because it really eases the anxiety that the whole pass/fail thing was creating with eating choices. Now, if I feel like I have to have a bite of somethin off-protocol., I don't feel like I've failed and just add it into my food diary without self flagellation. lol :-)

    Hi Everyone,

    I've been gone a long time, but find myself here again. I was 6 lbs over and then suddenly I was 14, so...Today is day 3 VLCD on 2.0. 162 - 158.5 - 157.5. Glad to have company. I'm using Intermountain pellets that I had left over and they still seem to be working. A little hunger from time to time, today is the worst so far, but I know it takes a week or so to really kick in.
    Last, don't know if I should say I'm happy you're here..but I am. I'm also happy to meet the rest of the group. Here's to staying strong, supporting each other and burning massive amounts of fat together and having fun doing it.
