Hi Belfry - I just wanted to jump in real quick with my experience on the amino acid drops - DON'T DO IT! If you lose, and you probably will by just lowering the calories so drastically, you will lose all the wrong kind of fat, and also muscle most likely.

STOP now and purchase either some RX hcg injections, pellets, or drops, or some homeopathic pellets or drops, and then start again when you've received those. I don't want you to experience what I went through earlier this year, Especially not at 69 and on diabetic meds. I started a round with the fake drops and powered through 20 days. I was STARVING the entire time, except for the first 3 or 4 days. I kept changing the dose, up and down, and nothing made a difference. Finally, my research led me to this forum and I ordered the real deal (yes, it is VERY expensive). Anyway, I switched to P3 eating for about 5 days until my RX arrived, dosed for two days and then started VLCD again (no loading). By VLCD1, I already felt the effects of hcg. No hunger, freezing, a little euphoria... I did not have a huge loss on that round, but a LOT of remodeling did happen. My body replaced the "good" fat I had lost by starving myself on the fake drops with abnormal fat that I needed to lose. My face filled back out, and I didn't look like a refugee any more.

There are links at the top of the page to reputable sites to buy real hcg online, and also give you discount codes. Hoping you read this soon!

Oh, and congrats on keeping the 30 pounds off for 6 years - that a real accomplishment!

LinderLou -- thanks for your reply. I have 2 packages of Corian 2000iu, which is enough for a round (I'm only doing one). I just ordered some bacteriostatic water to mix it -- hopefully it will arrive quickly. I ordered the drops because I didn't want to mess with injections. Obviously a lot has changed since I did the last rounds -- had no idea manufacturers were using amino acids in place of hCG, but using HCG labels. I don't think I want to quit as I've just loaded, so think I'll continue with the amino acid version then switch to the Corian. I'm taking a trip the last week of October so need to begin P3 before I leave. I can handle P3 just fine on a trip, but not P2.

You can do what you want, just keep in mind that if you're "loading", you should have hcg in your system - with the amino drops, you're not getting ANY hcg, so you're not getting the benefits at ALL. It would be like doing the diet without hcg - what's the point? You're not mobilizing abnormal fat stores, you're just starving yourself and losing good fat and possibly muscle. If it were me, I'd just eat normal until your bac water arrives and then start VLCD after the 3rd injection. I understand your urgency about your timing with your trip. Just trying to point out to you that you will still have only the number of days on the diet after you start the real hcg, assuming you are trying to reach the minimum of 23 injections.

Yes, a lot changed a few years ago when the FDA got involved. While they thought they were protecting us from fraudsters, it just created a whole new level of fraud... and more bad press for this diet... Hope your bac water arrives soon and that you can get started for real.

LinderLou - thanks for your responses. This thread is completely dead so I doubt I will get any help or support here from anyone doing HCG 2.0 (other than you). I found a Facebook group specifically for 2.0, so am switching to there. I hate the Facebook interface, but if I'm going to be successful, I figure I'll need some support along the way.

Hi Belfry - ... and I'm not even doing 2.0

You're right, this thread is pretty dead. There are a couple of threads in Leez's Loaders group and the Lovely Losers Support Group where there is a new thread for every month. Everyone is super supportive, whether they are in a round or not, and many of them do 2.0 or some form of it and are very knowledgeable. Jump on either or both October threads and I'm sure you will get feedback and support. YES, we def need support and encouragement on this journey.

    Belfrybat,
I just saw your post. I recently finished a forty day round using the 2.0 protocol. I also did three rounds using OP in 2011 (six years ago). I am on day 5 of P3 now. Stabilizing is tons easier after 2.0. I lost 21.5 lb during Phase 2 and am about 1 lb below my LIW today.
I LOVE the 2.0 protocol, especially the deletion of fruit and Melba. I stayed in ketosis the entire round and never suffered from hunger. I was tired a lot but the VLCD always makes me tired. Another bonus of 2.0 is the addition of MCT oil. You are allowed 2 Tbsp per day. You don’t have to count it toward you daily caloric totals. You can easily make mayo from it and that makes everything easier.
Unfortunately, I agree with Linderlou about the hcg drops. I’d wait but that’s just me. Good luck!

I must have deleted it at some point. For whoever asked, there really isn't a food list that I remember. Eat lean protein to your particular calorie number, then eat under 30 carbs. I've been keto/LCHF so the challenge is not the low carb but eating lean protein for me.
    LAST10,
How did it go? I'm thinking of doing 2.0, too, but not sure when yet.

I accidentally ordered only two vials, though only looking to lose... 10. I can get 26 or more injections out of two 2000(IU) vials.

This diet is not too hard to follow. If you don't have the book, just download the app, and it has the chart with the foods listed in order of highest protein. The book is quite cheap on amazon, though, and just use the kindle app to read it.

I am doing it this time around. I thought I would try it for a change. I figured I would just switch back to original protocol after the first or second week, if I noticed it not working. But it is working, and like the Original Protocol, I don't get alarmed if I don't lose for a day or so, as I know I am losing inches instead of pounds.

I just eat the foods on the chart. I have had chicken, pork loin, and tuna is mostly what I eat. For breakfast I add Trim Healthy Mama Pristine Whey Protein powder to my coffee.

Just use the BMR calculator to find out how many calories your allowed a day. I then use the My Fitness App to add my foods daily and see where I am at. I don't have any fruits as they are not allowed, and still mostly just use the Vegetables from the Original protocol. You don't need to add the calories of the veggies if you keep your carbs lower than 30 grams a day. So you can eat quite a bit if you want too.
I have ate broccoli and a bit of cauliflower. I use my seasonings, lemon juice, a vinaigrette ( in the hcg recipes for p2) and a balsamic vinegar.
I haven't added the MCT oil, and feel no need to.
I still drink my two litres of water, but like that you can have zero calorie drinks if you want to.

Also if hungry I have a lean protein snack before bed, either another protein drink or Mcsweeney's Turkey jerky, as it has no sugars etc in it. Dr. Zach believes it helps you sleep and feeds cellular repair and maintenance.

I mostly agree with the Original Protocol myself as it works, but wanted to try this and see how it goes, and so far it has been good. I am three weeks in on P2. I more week to go.

I use intermountain pellets, and Dr. Zach even believes in hhcg. He has only found that the real hcg injections are sometimes best when trying to lose that last stubborn 15 lbs, that some people have issues with.

    Hi Carrie

Thought there was a link to the app on the InsideOutWellness page. I believe the link it is in the bottom right hand corner at the end of the page

Its on google Play - https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...nagement.hcg20

Or the App Store if you have an Iphone

I read and read and read over Dr. Zach's information, as well as reviews of his program; while I'm still on the fence about a few things Dr. Zach has to say (i.e., his high praise of raspberry ketones and garcinia cambogia, both of which I've never been able to see a discernible difference taking or not taking), I was very "On board" with his low carb, higher protein protocol.

Since I eat 98% Paleo most of the time, and have seen significant health benefits (for myself AND Hubby!), eating more carbs than protein that you do on Original Protocol seemed to partially defeat the purpose of P2 & hcg. ALL carbs turn to sugar (glucose) in the bloodstream, why do we want to provide the body w/a constant stream of "sugar" while a limited amount of protein (and ZERO FAT) to work with?

I for one have had major stalls lasting 7 to 10 days in a 30 day round (extremely frustrating) staying in Original Protocol. This round, with HCG 2.0, PLUS dropping my carbs down to under 20 (which is 10 below the 30 Dr. Zach recommends), has resulted in no stalls (so far) but rather little drops in weight every day.

Not saying this is right or perfect for everyone. It just made more sense to me and - so far - it is working better for me as well.
I looked at HCG 2.0 and brought the book download last year (would love it in PDF so I can write all over it). I am going into week 4 on Simeon's protocol but find I am wanting more snack foods so thought I would refer back to 2.0 and progress into P3. In 3 weeks I have lost 16 lbs so am very happy but the losses after the first week dropped dramatically. As I have done P2 a few times I realised I had not really focused well and P3 and never on P4 hence weight regain.

    Welcome Vanessa

Yes even if you do HCG 2.0 or follow Simeons Original Protocol, the Phase 3 and 4 are very important. I did well trying a mixture of HCG 2.0 and the Original Protocol this last time around.

I am on Day 2 of Phase 3 now and doing very well. I have done this many times though, so find it very easy to do
