Not at all happy with my DD experience

Long rant ahead.

I was really excited to use DD even though I had very little in the way of reviews or recommendations. I'm the type to research a place to death before purchasing a product particularly an expensive one. I was interested based on a couple of people's experiences as well as the idea that I would get a nutritionist for a year so I signed up. I have done HCG through a clinic (first time and they had me on 300), purchasing from foreign pharmacies, and DD. I have also used pellets, sublingual, injections. HCG and HHCG. I have usually been successful but as an emotional eater (and having a sensitivity that I only recently found out about), I have continued to put the weight back on and that brings me back to HCG, the only thing that works for me.

I ordered my HCG+B12 and MIC injections from DD. The issues started immediately. I work very long hours but they kept wanting to do a dr consultation and a nutritionist one. Great but they would just schedule a time without consulting me. I would suddenly get emails saying I had an appointment when I was in meetings all day. I would of course miss the appointment and another would be scheduled again without my input. I emailed them about this but did not receive a response. I was finally able to use the portal to set up the drs appoint (because all this time the HCG wouldn't be sent without the on the phone consultation so the delivery was being delayed). The nutritionist one however was still problematic. I missed the call by 5 mins and when I called back I was told I had to set up another appointment (fine) but then was asked about my plan. I told them I was planning on using the original protocol and the response was, then I don't need a consultation and the person hung up. I still wanted a consultation or to start a relationship but I didn't get a chance to say it and after all this I was honestly turned off.

I was told by the dr that I was to be on 125iu and I was fine with that as that was actually my previous dosage but that was without the additional B12. In the past when the b12 was included I had to do 150iu. I was ok with the 125 for weeks but I was ALWAYS just a bit hungry. I decided to up my dosage to 150iu and felt great. No hunger at all. The problem was that also during this time, my second vial was sent. I was under the impression that it was done so I could get it as fresh as possible but the vial came after I was on HCG for only a couple of weeks which meant I had more weeks left before I could use it and it was already mixed with the b12. I had wanted to make recommendations to the next vial (do what leez did and receive it for 2 weeks at a time and without b12) but the vial was shipped so quickly for me I didn't have a chance. Now I started using the HCG a few days after I received it rather than immediately because when I finally got it, I was not in the place timewise to start like I had been when I originally thought I'd receive it. I work 10-12 hours a day. I tried contacting the office multiple times for information but because of our different time zones I was unsuccessful. I tried talking to the message box on the site. The first time I was not responded to after hello and the second time he took my questions and message down but I received no follow-up. I posted here and received an initial response but when I contacted the nutritionist with more questions twice I received no response. Meanwhile I have a vial I am concerned about and I am not getting responses. I have never experienced this with another place.

I was off of work today and basically timed my day so I could call. This call was very frustrating, I was concerned about the quality of the HCG I have and frustrated that I was never told WHEN they planned to send the second vial. I will say that apparently they did send me emails on inquiring of my progress but I just checked and though I did receive them, they were going to my spam folder so I never saw them.

Anywhoo, I was I wanted to have another vial sent (I even offered to send the one I had back to prove I was not just collecting them) but I was told things were fine (sorry I'm struggling to trust). The conversation was all over the place and very confusing. Somehow I ended up being confronted (not angrily) about not going according to the doctors wishes in keeping my dosage at 125 and that I should have talked to him and they were confused about my skipping doses. Uhm, I could barely get in contact with them on this . .. sooo . I told them that I had said I was doing OP in the beginning and I was "talked to" about not doing their program their way. They even went into me not losing well because I'm not following their protocol which I never even mentioned in my discussions. I'm losing fine actually. I really felt like it was a struggle to get MY questions answered and things just went very left. I shared how frustrating this processed as been and I was again told that I have to talk to the doctor to be put back on protocol. I declined. This has been a very negative experience for me. Wow, that doesn't sound like a very good experience at all. I can imagine your frustration with it.

Sounds to me like you know what you need and how the diet works for you.

Sorry you had a bad experience with them.

I have only dealt with Intermountainhcg and frequency apps, as I just use hhcg and both have good support.

I hope one of the Diet Doc reps will respond soon. I'm puzzled by the whole staggered shipping problem. That was the practice when I first made my order last year, and it was explained that it was because of the California laws. But then they said it was changed and they would be shipping out the whole order at one time after that. It seems things may have changed again.

There were a couple glitches in the process for me as well, but they went above and beyond my expectations to fix things immediately for me. I'm sorry things went so wrong for you.

Hmm that's interesting. It's different than I was told (re: staggered shipping). They said the pharmacy was in control of that and they calculate based on 3 weeks from the date the HCG arrives because they assume I would begin immediately. I understand that but it would have been helpful for me to have been told that or if that had've been stated ANYWHERE lol so I would have known to contact the pharmacy to let them know that that wasn't the case for me. The pharmacy is in FL and in my timezone so they have been easier to reach than DD.

Yeah that was another reason why I was so keen on them. They seemed to be so accommodating to you and that made me feel like I'd be taken care of. I guess I'm just too regular of a person? Anywhoo thanks as always Leez for reading.

Head's up... I may out-rant you Jade!

I know we've been chatting privately, but I'm glad I got to read this in detail. Oh my goodness- this sounds like some serious confusion and I'm wondering if they have an appointment system that went haywire or something? I can't imagine how frustrating this must have been for you, but I can tell you, it's definitely the first time I have heard of any such situation with them. I hear so much positive feedback about them!!!! Like, I actually get emails from readers just thanking me for recommending them! I know they have already been in touch with you and are getting you back on track, but please feel free to shoot me an email if you need any help in addition.

I just ordered from them again, and I honestly have had such a different experience. I can tell you that I ordered without them knowing I was from HDI (I used my maiden name) and I do this to have a true experience and know what I am recommending to others.

I placed my order and got a confirmation immediately, followed by an email come telling me to create an account with the portal. I did that, and then got several emails within the following hour; another order confirmation, a request to schedule my doctor's consult, eating guidelines, and an invitation to register for their patient portal. The only issue I had, was that I would like to have seen all of that in one email... but then again, if I had to wait for all the steps to be complete, I probably would have been wondering where my confirmation was!

So, I register through the portal, and then sent an IM through the site to see what the best way was to schedule the doctor consult. I was told I could wait for them to call me, OR, I could schedule it in the portal, OR I could call and schedule it. I opted to call and scheduled my appointment for 2 pm. The doctor called at exactly 1:59 pm. He suggested a dose of 150, which I was fine with. I have used that dosage before and did great. I asked if it would be a problem, if I wanted to increase or lower my dosage at another time- he said this wouldn't be an issue and I could reach out any time. He suggested a calorie intake of 600 calories. I had already gotten their food list in my email- it varied from the original protocol (all the companies do somewhat- I'm used to that) but I asked if it would be a problem if I wanted to follow the original protocol's food list and stick to 500 calories. He said this wouldn't be a problem and they would offer whatever guidance I needed. He approved my prescription and then suggested I schedule my appointment with the nutritionist while I was on the phone; he said it wasn't necessary at this time, but he did recommend getting to know my nutritionist from the start. I agreed and was transferred to my coach. We scheduled our first official appointment for the following Tuesday (she recommended Tuesday because my Hcg was due to arrive on Monday.) I got one email confirming the call. Then on Monday afternoon, I received a text reminder, with the "press 1. to confirm or press 2. to reschedule." My son's pediatrician's office does the same, and I love it.

My Hcg arrived on Monday as scheduled (3 days), and I had my call the next day. We went over the food list and their recommendations, but I ultimately asked to stick to the protocol. She said this would be fine. She asked if I wanted to schedule another appointment at that time and I said no- that I would wait. She said to let her know if I needed anything, and reminded me that I can schedule an appointment through the portal.

I did call later and asked about my 2nd vial. I was told it would be sent in about 2 weeks, before I would need it, but that I could use the portal or call them and request it be sent at any other time.

Other than this, I haven't had anyone schedule an appointment for me, nor have I had any issues. I did contact them via IM today to let them know I wanted to lower my lipo dosage. Just as a head's up, since I'm a lipo veteran- wasn't that nice of me? lol

Jade, I'm so so so sorry for your experience- all I can think of, is that maybe you were the lucky one that got a glitch in their appointment system or something. I really do hope DD can make this up to you- I know they pride themselves in customer service and the CEO herself reached out to me, after I emailed, letting me know she was addressing this immediately. Please keep me posted- here or email.

i normally go to a local clinic but it is a long drive and have to do blood work separately and too much trouble. so i tried nu image with pellets and took me about two weeks to get the product and it came in with several of the pills crushed. they did respond within a week and replaced the damaged ones after i sent photos of their condition. i wonder if nu image and DD are same company. i talked to a PA when i got my prescription and am clueless about a nutritionist. i have had some hunger today with the pellets i bought a pill cutter but not sure whether to cut them in half if that will be too little. i didnt go for injections which i always did about 150 before because of mixing myself and travel also. i post is more curious if the two companies are the same

They are two different companies. But Rejuvi (NewEdge) became Riverfront which is on our recommended page now.

I'm glad they replaced your damaged pellets. If you are hungry, cutting them in half is what grammy usually recommends. They are a super high dose anyway, so I think you'll be ok.

I considered going with pellets during my last round, but that was the reason I opted not to- they are too difficult to cut, and adjust dosage if need be.

I'm so surprised you had such a hard time getting a response from them though- they even have live chat on their site for fast response. Personally, I would contact them again and ask if it would be possible to change for injections. I don't know if that's possible but worth a try.

Im sure if i want to purchase injection kit they woukd sell it to me..but not switch out I am going to bear with it for cpl more days my husband reminded me the first few days are always hard even with shots

I made it through my second day of vlcd but i did break protocol slightly I ate half my cucumber about an hour before lunch to keep me going and finished the rest with lunch.

Are you still taking a whole one, Rose? I would NOT take a whole one. That high dose can totally derail the way hcg works. This is why I would never recommend the pellets to anyone. People almost invariably run into trouble because the dose is so high. You don't want to white knuckle it through because you'll lose from the wrong places and just regain it when you're done. Skip tomorrow then take half a pill.
