Starting Wegovy next week - who else?

I hope this new forum section miraculously popping up just as I order Wegovy... means we can chat here? This will always be my fav forum, with or without hcg.

Hcg and macros got me down a bunch... then covid came, and I fell off the wagon. Been slowly losing weight again the last year, no system or reason... but I want to tune in to low carb again and actually do this with a bit more purpose.

    F, 49, 168cm, 132kg. Highest ever was 155, lowest... somewhere around 105?

I am in Germany, so. Got my prescription yesterday, 2.4mg Wegovy coming next week. We have flexpens, so will count clicks and then do the 0.25 dose that way.

Leaning into my hcg and macros experiences, so... low carb/ pescatarian. Filling the freezer next week, then first injection on Wednesday, I think. Upping my weekly walks again; dog just died this month, so that is weird without him. And I have my weight bench back up... I hate weights, but here we are.

    D3, B12, magnesium for support.

    Anything else you suggest?

Welcome back. The new forum sections are because the forums have changed hands and the new owners provide the semiglutide products, as well as HCG.

Sorry there is not much information yet, but they have plans to remedy that when other things get sorted out. You can post anywhere in the section. I've done some research on this drug class and will share with you what I've found. Its a new thing here on the forum, and we can all learn together.

I understand your thoughts about using low carb as a way to take advantage of the Wegovy's ability to minimize hunger. My caution would be not to go too low on calories, and do not try to do this fat free, but use good fats and avoid seed oils.

Wegoyy does slow the speed of your digestion, so you will want to do whatever you can to aid digestion. Think about what foods you are choosing and make sure they include prebiotics, probiotics, and postbiotics. Adding a bit of ACV (apple cider vinegar) to a glass of water before meals is an easy way to support stomach acid production. Ginger is good for that too. I like to make ginger juice from fresh ginger and freeze in those 1-2 tsp pop out ice trays and keep a bag of them in the freezer for that use. Magnesium and added vitamin C will be important to keeping bowel movements comfortable if you tend to constipation. I've noticed some report diarrhea side effects as well, so it is just something to monitor.

Tell us a bit about your increase plan. How long until you are at the therapeutic dose of 1 mg? I'm assuming 3-5 months to get there?

Ah, cool. I also think GLP-1 will be a logical step for many of us to take, so expanding the forum makes sense.

I plan to go to 0.5 after a month, according to protocol, and then see; my doc said I might be able to stay on 0.5 a bit longer, or most likely on 1mg. Stay on lower dose as long as it works, and don't up the dose until the side effects have evened out. The largest pen runs $330 for me, so if I can stretch that to 2 1/2 months down the line, yay me. Because of the flex clicks, I can also up my dose more slowly if needed.

Definitively not forcing myself to 800kcal on this. I will probably set my tracking app to 1800kcal, and then see how far below I end up some days. Just switching from simple carbs to more protein again will fill me up quicker, so... we shall see.

Very curious as to the side effects. Stomach isn't usually one of my weak spots. But I work from home, so honestly, whatever. I have a business trip beginning of April, and flying with a couple kg less would be nice.

Will add some of your suggestions to my shopping list!

Sounds like you have a solid plan. I hope all goes smoothly for you.

One other thought....if you decide to supplement a probiotic, my recommendation is to use a soil-based one, just from my personal experience. I've used many, and the soil based probiotic is the only one that made a discernable difference in my digestion.

Hi, I started Zepbound 2.5 in Jan 5th. I go up to 5.0 next Monday. Supposed to up dosage every 4 weeks to 15mg. I'm also doing HCG with hHCG pellets and find they are not as good as years ago when I was doing drops. Yes, I know they don't have true HCG, but the old drops worked for me. These leave me a bit hungrier. In the last two weeks of R1P2 I'm trying out the IF suggestion from HCG 2.0. Posted about it on another forum. It's helping with the hunger and I've got hopes that I can drop more than the usual 15# per round for me.

So, I'm using the Zepbound to help with this journey, 2-3 rounds, using P3tolife in between (P3-P4). Then, on to full maintenance leveraging the P3tolife guide. My plan is to have Zepbound be my "bumper guards" through maintenance and eventually wean off when I feel like I've got maintenance incorporated into the rest of my life. My doctor has agreed to this, so we'll see if I'm successful or not.

I was on Ozempic and Phentermine in 2018 for about 3 years, but the doc never informed me much about them. Phentermine can change your personality a bit - I was more on edge and always had a dry mouth. Hated it. Didn't have much trouble with Ozempic - just an hour's nausea when starting or upping the dosage. Stopped everything in 2019, including dr!, and then COVID hit. Gained everything back. I feel better informed and like partnering with a dr that is more in tune with their patients.

So, zootalore, you are using both HCG and the Zepbound (terzepitide) at that same time? I hope you will give us some reports as you progress. It will be invaluably helpful to those who are wondering about these drugs.
