    Shoot, I've been using small amts of MCT oil almost everyday this round. Thankfully, I'm still losing well, but I didn't realize that I put myself in a tough stabilizing position. Is there any solution to this??

    Ugh, I feel so badly - we all know that this is a little hard and then to think that I've blown my stabilization makes me want to cry. I've got 14 days left and you can bet that I will not be using coconut oil. I have done a strict protocol in every other way, but had gotten the impression from other sites that this was safe.

    Katnip, I don't know what OP is??

    Diane: The only solution is to stop using any type of oil. You can still stabilize...it just might take longer or be more difficult.

    Thanks for your response, hcgpro2 - Stabilizing is so hard anyway, I can't believe I shot myself in the foot. We'll, I'm praying that it will go smoothly!!!

    Well its really annoying coming in this site and reading people impose their beliefs on what works and does not work on everyone else. As soon as another dieter speaks on something that works for them that Is OUTSIDE of protocols here come the hcg police to shoot it down and say no doesn't work cause they've had so much experience and so forth. Truth is everybody is different. Period! Just cause something does not work for you or other people doesn't mean it won't work for Jill and Jane. If you want to talk about a person being in compliance with protocol explain why Stevie is alproved because it sure is not on the original manuscript. So who deemed it okay? Not Dr .Simeons. It wasn't around then so then using splenda is also going rogue if you go by the definition everyone is using here. Truth is medicine has changed and what we know about the mechanisms of the human body since this protocol was written has changed as well and it will continue to change. No matter how long you have been on this site, and the thousands of people you have seen fail with things like coconut oil there are thousands who have used it and have stabilized. You may be a veteran but you're not the subject matter expert because you don't know everybody. Allow people to have their own experiences and share without jumping down their throats with how this and that won't work. You think we will ever learn what works if people don't try? If tge world were that way then we wouldn't be as advanced as we are now. Yeah Simeons did work on this protocol but that was years ago. And there are doctors who allow coconut oil on the protocol and are successful so please stop imposing your opinions on people. It's so frustrating seeking information and every comment or thread you don't like you shoot it down. So controlling.

    Ok, calm down, sweetheart. Obviously you misread what I typed. Did you read the part where I said "Obviously, everyone should try it for themselves (in P3 and beyond) knowing that it might make you gain weight." ???

    The only thing I said that could have possibly set you off is the fact that I said it's not in Dr. Simeons' protocol. And no, neither is Truvia/Stevia/etc. and I never said those were.

    This is hilarious. Isn't this site just full of opinions? I didn't "impose" mine on anyone. I simply stated what happened when I used CO in Phase 2 and told everyone to try it for themselves. I'm literally sitting here laughing at your post. It's so ridiculous how sensitive some people are and how they think they know what people mean all the time. I even told people to try it for themselves! How much less "controlling" can I be? I think someone just woke up on the wrong side of the bed.

    The only one using abusive language is you. Try to calm yourself down before trying to degrade others. Thanks.

    Hcgpro2 I apologize this wasn't directed to you. I was trying to respond to the thread and the only button I saw was respond with quote and you were the last message. I didn't wake up on the wrong side of the bed nor was I being abusive. I stated my opinion. Sorry if I razzled you. I guess I can understand your response since you thought I was directing my message to you. It wasn't. It's to posters who police this site and don't let others say what they're doing without shooting it down. I want to know what others are doing. If it works I want to know and I want to be the judge of whether or not it's right for me. I search this forum and each time someone writes something they've tried the moderator comes in with No it's not on protocol... Sorry doesn't work... Sorry I've had thousands come through here and it didn't work. It's what I feel is controlling behaviour. Then others chime in. So that's what I'm talking about. I'm here for information. I'm willing to be experimental. To a degree. I'm willing to perfect this for me. So let people say what they have to say. We know what's not on protocol but thousands have deviated successfully. Again, I understand you defending yourself as you thought I was talking to you but I wasn't. I want to hear what works for others without kill joys coming in to debunk it cause it didn't work for them.

    Understandable.

    I just want you to know, though, that you're going to get that anywhere you go. Whenever one person states their opinion, there will always be those who state theirs as well. There are many on here who believe that following Dr. Simeons' protocol to a T is the only way to go and they will let you know that. However, there are others here who have had experiences with adding/subtracting from his protocol and have had success.

    As I stated before, I've tried CO in a couple rounds and haven't had many bad experiences with it but if you want to try it, just know it COULD cause a gain/stall/mess with stabilization. Any time you deter from any diet that's what could happen. It's kind of like going on Atkins and eating bread when you're not supposed to. It'll affect everyone differently.

    If you want to try something, go ahead and try it. If it doesn't work for you, you'll know for next time. I can't say that I'm always the perfect protocol follower but I try to at least let others know how things affect me and also let them know that it could cause something negative. It's just like with anything else. If you don't try it for yourself, you might always wonder.

    Actually stevia IS on the original protocol. See below. But moderators are here to help. Helping means letting people know when something is not on protocol. Then it's up to the person to choose to break protocol or not. Most people actually DON'T know what protocol is. No one is controlling what you do but we ARE going to mention what is protocol and whether a deviation works for most or not. That's always going to be happening so it doesn't do any good to get frustrated about it. You can still choose to do what you want. No one is going to police you. LOL

    Tea or coffee in any quantity without sugar. Only onetablespoonful of milk allowed in 24 hours. Saccharin orStevia may be used.

    I am one of the "diet police" people. I believe following P&I along with a few modifications I have seen be successful over and over again works the best for the most people. And I want people to have as much success with this plan as I have had. I also believe everyone should have enough faith and confidence in themselves to feel free to express their own opinions and make their own decisions just as I will do.

    There is a passage in P&I that says, "In many countries specially prepared unsweetened and low Calorie foods are freely available, and some of these can be tentatively used." To me, that means Diet Coke, stevia, Walden Farms products, etc are allowed on the protocol. But it also means they should be used carefully as they may or may not work.
