It is 100% silly to assume that I haven't simply because I deviate. I deviate because I can. It's not a hard concept to understand, but I assure you, Grammy, I've read it top to bottom... That doesn't mean that I and many others don't tweak the protocol for better results. Which I have done. And gotten better than average results.

This extreme sensitivity has the advantage that the smallest error is immediately detectable at the daily weighing but most patients have to make the experience before they will believe it." We all have to make choices, but why would anyone work this hard to accomplish a goal and then jeopardize it with cheats and deviations?
Because I wanted to understand the diet better and I wanted to master it.

2.) There is a such thing as not enough protein. And EVERYONE's requirements are different: That's one of the reasons for the short rounds - there isn't enough protein for long-term dieting. And of course we all have different nutritional needs based on genetics, size, activity level, etc.

4.) I gained muscle and strength- this means I lost a ton of inches and greatly improved my body composition: Isn't that one of the best things about this plan? We get to lose fat instead of muscle and we end the round with better body composition than when we started. I love it.

5.) I worked out 3-4 days a week: Activity is encouraged, so good for you.

6.) I drank 18-30 cups of water, daily: Hyponatremia is dangerous so I'm glad you didn't experience an issues with that.

7.) Restored my electrolytes every few days with a cup of water and juice from a full lemon+ salt mixed in: Glad you took advantage of the allowed juice of a lemon. How come you didn't want to restore your electrolytes daily instead of only every few days?

8.) Never skimped on salt, if I wanted it, I had it: There's no limit on salt on the diet and I always recommend people eat plenty of sea salt on the diet, especially if they are consuming a lot of water. I have low sodium so I drink salt water daily.

10.) When I wasn't cheated, I was losing a pound or better daily or 4lbs overnight from water retention from working out: I'm more interested in losing fat, but if losing fluid makes you happy, great.

11.) Was never bloated. Not even on my period: Why would you expect to be bloated?

12.) Was not lazy on this diet: Glad to hear it since activity is encouraged.

13.) IMO: No one has any excuse to remain completely inactive unless your condition is so extreme that you cannot even walk for 10 minutes straight. If you can walk for 10 minutes straight, do that 3 times a day, at least...: In my first round, my condition was so extreme I could barely stand up so walking for 10 minutes was just a dream. In further rounds, I did get in more activity. Walking is great exercise, and P&I encourages tennis, swimming, running, horseback riding, golf, etc, too.

14.) I used protein shakes with no adverse effects. (Bionic Edge in the vanilla flavor): Lots of people use protein shakes and do very well on them. I know a lot of people prefer Raw Warrior or Jay Robb, but I've never heard of Bionic Edge brand.

16.) My energy levels NEVER fell: I'm happy to hear you had the typical hcg experience of increased energy. That is the feeling that makes some people want to stay on P2 longer than they should.

17.) I had a preworkout before I went to the gym: 1 granny smith apple: I, too, usually ate my fruit at a different time of day than the rest of my food. Thankfully, P&I allows that.

18.) HCG is amazing stuff: Yes, it is.

20.) My energy levels are through the roof: Again, typical on this diet. Glad to hear you experienced that.

21.) I stabilize in P3 immediately, every time: I, too, have an easy time stabilizing. I really feel for those who struggle so terribly with it.

22.) I eat 1k-2k calories above my daily allotment: In P2? Or in P3/P4? There is no allotment in P3 or P4.

23.) I've broken this diet down so well that I will help anyone see the same success that I have because I want to help anyone and everyone that needs it: That's very generous of you.

24.) I've helped others: Again, very generous.
Doing the best that I can , from where I am. All is well

I guess coconut oil is allowed if you want to lose 13 pounds in 2 months. Haha. It's still not understandable to me why some people give advices like that&encourage others to cheat, if you're taking real hcg then it's not anything to play with! And most of us is/was overweight from binge eating, this diet also teaches you how to stop yourself from doing that and show you that you don't really need all that food. Why not stay on original protocol so you won't have problems stabilising? It's all nice in p3 and p4.

Virgin unrefined coconut is excellent for you....but isn't on protocol until phase 3 so I wont eat it right now I'm.phase 2. I adore coconut oil (always unrefined and virgin) but I started hcg because nothing else was working and so personally I am following the protocol to a T.

I'm on vlcd #16 and have lost 15# so its obviously working out for me so far why would I want to endanger all my hard work by going off protocol?

LOl No it really doesn't. I've seen it all here on the board for 6 years. It's really not allowed and doesn't help in P2.

    LOL Good for you!

It might not work for you, but it works for me. Thanks for your input, but I'll worry about what I eat myself. LOL

And that's fine of course. LOL I just like to make sure newbies know what is on protocol. And coconut oil decidedly is not. I eat tons of it when now on P2 though. It's great stuff. Just not for P2 if you want to lose the most weight and stabilize for the long haul.

There are lots of people who eat off protocol and do okay. But it's not fair to others to try to encourage them to stray from the protocol that works for everyone when those cheats are likely to derail them. It's great it works for you though. It just doesn't for the majority. Fats are the worse possible cheats on P2.

LOL I get that. But it's just as unfair to others to discourage them if they do well with something Dr. Simeons didn't specify. If you can lose weight on HCG eating something that didn't make the original list of acceptable foods, cool! Not everybody can be content on the short list we have from P&I. So if someone has to alter the plan a little bit to otherwise keep on plan, far be it from me to disapprove.
