    Diet Coke craving

    Does anyone drink Diet Coke in P2 and continue to lose?

    Artificial sweeteners are allowed according to P&I so I don't see why you can't drink it if you choose.

    Anytime I touched any chemical sweetener I stalled or gained….I've read a lot of others did as well.

    There is a great zero cream soda or zero cherry cream soda made w/ stevia that I use while in P2 and it's very good

    So, the last time I did HCG when I lived in Texas a while back, I didn't know about most people staying away from Diet Coke. I didn't know you were only supposed to have stevia and not other sweeteners, etc. I had 2 diet cokes EVERY DAY and I lost a lot of weight and only stalled one day in the entire round. When I stalled, it had nothing to do with coke or anything. It was because I fasted for a religious day in my faith which meant I didn't eat or drink anything for a day. I stalled the next day. But I still lost, even on my period. I never have issues from sweeteners. I don't know if I am an anomaly or what, but I know I love my diet coke!

    The original protocol actually says, "saccharine and other sweeteners are allowed." Most of the manuscripts you'll see online have changed saccharine to stevia.

    I've lost 125 pounds with hCG and I've drank diet soda on several rounds. It's not the healthiest, but it helps me to get through P2 (Probably just mentally LOL!)

    I find that the caffein makes a big difference. I need it! I skipped it today and I Wish I had it. Oh well!

    I need it too for some reason! The rounds I've done without it have seemed harder. It's totally NOT healthy though!

    I think there are things that are MUCH worse though. For me, if it keeps me on protocol, I feel like it is healthier in the long run. Know what I mean? If you wanted to shell out a few extra dollars, you can get soda made with stevia from Wholefoods. It's called Zevia and they have a "cola" flavor. Just a thought if you are really concerned.

    YEP! I never drink it outside of p2 knowing it's full of crap, but it curbs my cravings and I lose fine still. I have to wonder if it really stalls/gains with people or if there is another factor not being taken into consideration on those days. I actually wonder about that with a lot of foods...sugar free gum for one lol...

    Atlas, I always chew sugar free gum on P2 also and it never bothers my losses.
