Hmmm, this just might work. My house is a disaster and I need to pressure wash and stain the deck.

Beth- Did the stack wipe away your appetite? Is that why you were taking it? Sorry if you covered this all ready.

I take ephedra as I have very low blood pressure and it's the only thing I found without very nasty side effects that boosts my BP just up enough to where I'm not feeling faint or passing out. And since hcg tends to make my BP run even lower, on my last round I was pretty much house bound as I ran out of ephedra and would find myself on the floor/ground several times a day.

Wow, that sounds extreme SugarPie. Do you have a rx for it or do you take the Bronkaid type med?

So you are taking one med (the hcg) that is pushing our BP down then counteracting it with another med (ephedra) that is pushing it up. You do realize that has to be extremely stressful on your heart right? That's something I wouldn't attempt without a Dr. closely supervising.

Twinma - The docs around here just tell me that low BP is better than high and that no one has ever died from having low BP so for me not to worry about it. And I don't take Bronkaid or anything like that. I don't take prescription meds other than an occasional migraine tab, and rarely any OTC as I can't handle the side effects.

poobears - No, I don't take any meds to bring my BP down as I've have never had high BP in my life.

Even when I was over 200 lbs, my BP remained relatively low (hovering around 90/55). And my cholesterol has always been really low, too...to the point where I don't have adequate insulators around my nerves, so my neurologist says. My BP and cholesterol were the two things I expected to rise at least a little bit with weight gain, but it didn't happen.

No I mean you take HCG and it's effect on you is it lowers your BP even more then normal. Then you take ephedra to raise your bp because the HCG makes it too low and you pass out. That has to be hard for your body to handle. Taking a hormone that is lowering your pressure and a stimulant that is raising it.

Ok...I getcha. I had an EKG done recently due to a bit of chest pain and everything was ok then (turned out I just had a fractured rib). It won't be so bad after this month, as I'm on my final round....hopefully.

This site explains everything in great detail http://www.hotnfit.com/ecstack.htm

That being said, unless you've used it in the past without problems (back when Xenadrine, Metabolife, etc had ma huang in it), then I don't recommend getting on it. If you have any type of heart issues you should definitely stay away.

I've been using the EC stack and I'm now on VLCD day 9. I'm not super excited about my results... I gained a ton on the load days and though I lost 10.5 lbs, most of that was just the amount I gained on the load days. The only great thing about the EC stack so far has been its control of my cravings and appetite. Today I've decided to add 10 minutes of jogging so I'm hoping my results will be a little more like the OPs (losing 1/3 of the weight I have to lose in a little over 2 weeks!).
