If you saw Susan in person, you would see she is TINY. Very small frame. I have people tell me I'm thin enough too but I know I have some abnormal fat I COULD lose. So I ordered some hcg to have on hand as well. How much to lose is something everyone has to decide for themselves. We can look at pictures but they don't really tell the whole story like actually seeing someone in person. Or an individual seeing themselves naked. I've dealt with a person on the forum who really did get an eating disorder while on hcg, and believe me, Susan isn't there.

Oh Susan - 5 lbs can be alot for the vertically challenged like us! I completely understand what you're saying. 5 lbs is a size changer for me. You've got your head on straight, no one can rain on your parade!

Wow. First I hadn't seen this for a little bit so my apologies for the late response.

I received a private message from Susan stating how angry she was.

It wasn't directed towards you Susan. I know I have been on this forum for a short time, but I had been reading here for awhile and I was on another group as well and I saw many people over there that wanted to lose 6lbs or get to 100 or even get to 90lbs. If it was about you, honestly, I'd have either messaged you or stated so in your posts or something.

I'm sorry you felt it was about you, but it was not. If it was, I would have come out to you or messaged you and said why do YOU want to lose x amount or to be x amount? Seriously, it was not about you and I'm sorry you feel that way. Again, I am sorry, it was not directed towards you, regardless of what you or anyone else thinks. Maybe I should have worded things better so no one felt it was about them specifically.

Wow, I am really saddened as to the response I got from you Susan and the message you sent me. Looking back, I guess maybe it did look like that, but it was not and I am stating that now here to everyone. This was not about you Susan and I am sorry you felt it was or it looked like it was.

And this I whole heartedly agree with. I had someone tell me that I don't look like I need to lose anymore weight, but judging by photos is hard, I feel differently, like I need to lose more.

And if anyone would seem obsessed with losing, it'd be me. I have become obsessed with getting those last few pounds off.

And one more thing Susan, you don't have to explain anything to me or anyone else. Your reasons are your reasons and that is good enough. Again, I'm sorry you thought it was about you specifically, maybe I should have worded it differently.

Raggedyann, what a lovely apology and clarification. I too, thought you were directing your comments to Susan. So glad we can all put out oversensitive feelings (thanks HCG) away and have a good laugh! You certainly have a new affection and respect from me! Happy losing! Sue

    raggedyApology accepted.

I do want to state emphatically that expressing one's opinions about what others should do (like getting on a treadmill to lose what you consider a small amount of weight) in a judgmental tone on a forum meant for information and support is not a good idea.

I take you at your word that your comments were not directed at me. I'm sure you can understand why I and others may have thought they were.

I do however think posts like the one that started and continued this thread have no place here.

    Quotes from your original post:

But when you have 6lbs to go, come on, really? Why not just do the treadmill or something? I don't get it.

But it just seems like people are going to take advantage of this protocol and God forbid, something horrible happen giving this diet a bad rap and making it even more difficult to obtain if the FDA tries to intervene
    .

    From a response by you:

Idk, maybe it's just me. I grew up a stick and it looked really bad and just seeing people wanting to get to say 100lbs just seems a bit extreme and problematic to me. Of course, it's not my business, but it does bother me seeing posts like that.

There are less than 5 people on this forum who are in any way qualified to suggest who is a good candidate for hcg, and none of them would ever come close to writing anything like what you have written.

My problem was not just your words, but your tone. Suggesting that someone get on a treadmill and avoid junk food and their weight will come off and stay off is exactly the kind of attitude so prevalent in the medical community that shuns hcg as being unsafe and ineffective. Even if that's what you think, because it worked for you, doesn't make it so for anyone else.

Anyway, this is a very small matter in the scheme of things, and I'm glad it's settled.

I hope you lose those last few pounds that are nagging you!

    Thank Susan.

My views weren't just off of the few people here, but the group I use to be on as well. So I probably should have clarified that.

Also, this thread was started by me a month ago and I have to say in a month my thoughts have changed a lot on this. So I'm going to make that point now.;-)

I've seen my hubby work hard on the eliptical for 4 months now and cannot lose anymore. He only lost 5lbs after the diet and those 5lbs keep fluctuating up and down. He is still considered over weight for being 5'7" at 165lbs and wants to lose another 10lbs. So for myself after seeing that, I thought oh no it probably won't work for me either, thus why I decided to do it a 3rd time to lose my last 8 or so pounds.

He thought he could prove that you can lose weight after doing the hcg. We just discussed this the other day too. I told him his hypothalamus has been reset, therefor his body is trying to maintain his weight at what he stabilized at.

So my views have definitely changed since I started this thread.

Ahhh, ladies, who cares at whom it was directed, even if it was! The main thing, how do you feel about yourself? Do you like yourself? I am at this age that people that actually and truly point at me don't have the powers to make me mad anymore. But, of course, I had the best training in the world: my emotionally abusive mother. Until recently I thought I was the ugliest person in the world... One of these days I will load my avatar and you will see how we can be blind to obvious things.
