This is similar to some posted but it was on a forum I am on a while ago or on a website I was browsing. I save every recipe I find for this so here you go. If I made it and wasn't using the chili, I might be tempted to add some garlic powder, onion powder and small amount of sage and dill

    HCG, P2, Chicken, Cabbage Soup
This is a P2/P3 friendly meal. With winter here and it being cold outside, I am a soup champion and can have it every day. This is a basic soup...
    Ingredients
Chicken Breast 100 grams or 3.2 oz with no bones or skin.
    Chopped Cabbage. 100 grams
Braggs Amino Acid to spray the cabbage while cooking
    Cilantro or parsley for garnish
One wedge of lemon or lime
Sambal Oelek Ground Fresh Chili Paste, 1 tbsp (optional)
    Kitchen Basic Chicken Broth
    Directions
*Please note that if you are using beef as your protein you can use beef broth but please check the ingredients. I only use Kitchen basics and not others on the market because I do check ingredients. Also the Kitchen Basics Vegetable Broth contains sugar.

I normally cook my chicken in a pan and I use 2 tbsp. of broth in the pan and steam cook it. Once complete, I chop it into small pieces so that I can have chicken in each bite of soup. Once the chicken is cooked, I remove the chicken and place it in the broth that has been boiling on low. Then in the same pan with a little more chicken broth, I cook 100 grams of chopped cabbage placing in any spices that you want to use. Once cooked, I add the cabbage to the broth and chicken and bring to a boil. As soon as it comes to a boil, I place in a bowl, garnish, add lemon and chili and I am ready to warm my belly!

When you use soups are they a meal or are they a filler so you curb hunger? Just wondering because I have seen people using them differently.
    Thanks

I didnt make anything too fancy but it tastes great. Chopped up half a head of cabbage. Added chopped onion, celery, garlic. Boiled it all in chicken broth and water. Added salt, pepper and garlic powder. Added left over chopped chicken breast and two squirts of catsup. (that may not be allowed?) Anyway - its really good. I have a package of taco seasonings that I think I'll try next time with hamburger in it instead of chicken.

I know there is diet cabbage soup you can probably find receipe on the internet. You eat nothing but this soup for 3 days to lose quickly. But no meat allowed.

I think I may try some fish instead of chicken or beef in my basic cabbage soup. I wonder if I could use clam juice instead of chicken broth for the liquid and some white fish instead of shrimp with a splash of tomato. It could turn out like a manhattan fish chowder. Can we eat clams on P2?

Most of the time I simmer it until the chicken is done, then add the cabbage so it doesn't get too done.
I occasionally add chili pepper if I'm in the mood for some spice.

I LOVE this soup! And it is soooo filling! I hope you all enjoy it!

This one looks very delicious. I think I should try it right now. I like Thai soup which is also very delicious and easy to cook.

This is my cabbage soup, I mostly do it when I am on the run or have no ingredients available lol. As well this cabbage soup makes one serving and it is 179 cal!

    Cabbage and Chicken soup

    Ingredients:
2 cups of low sodium chicken broth
    4 ounces of cabbage shredded
    1 ounce of tomato cubed
100g of lean boneless chicken breast cubed
    1/8 tsp of garlic powder
    1/2 tsp of black pepper
    1/2 tsp of lemon juice

Boil the cabbage in a separate pan until soft. In another pot combine the chicken broth, tomato, garlic powder, and cubed chicken. Cook until chicken is ready. When done drain and add the cabbage to the chicken pot and let it boil for 2 more min. Serve and add the pepper and lemon juice mix in with the soup.

I made THE best cabbage soup over the weekend! So good, i'll continue making it even after P2! here's the recipe:

1/2 lg head of cabbage - coarsely chopped
    32oz Chicken broth (low sodium)
32oz Chicken BONE broth (low sodium)
    4 stalks celery - chopped
    1 lg white onion chopped
1 16oz can diced tomatoes (low sodium)
    minced garlic - to taste
Turmeric - to taste (love this and SO good for you!)
    salt/pepper - to taste
Chili spice mix (low sodium) - to taste

I sautéed the onion, garlic and celery in coconut oil then added the broth and brought to a boil. Then add the cabbage and spices and let simmer. I like my cabbage "well done" so I left it on for a while (like 1.5 hours) - really brought the flavors together! Makes (8) 8oz servings (based on the broth servings). Stored in fridge - been eating it all week!

When ready to eat I portioned out the soup and added my 3.5oz chicken (I use the hand-shredded chicken from the grocery deli section and package in 3.5oz baggies for the week) then reheated. YUMMM! and so filling! Hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
