    Can I eat Jalapeno Chilli's on P2

    Hi all,

I was wondering if I can eat Jalepeno Chillis on P2, they have been pickled in a 50/50 water and white vinigar mix only, no sugar.

Also, i dry Habnereno Chillis and grind up in a salt mill to flavour foods, Can I use this too, it can make the most bland bit of chicken taste ok.

    Thanks

Hi, just my opinion but I think a small amount of ground chilis would be on protocol because it would be like any other spice that's allowed. I would consider the whole, fresh chiles as a non-protocol item for phase 2.

I'm in Colorado, and this time of year all the farmers markets sell roasted green chiles- yum! I'm stocking up for when I'm in phase 3 again.

    Hi,
Thanks for the reply, I was thinking the same thing, but if someone has used fresh chillis I would like to hear about it.

I used some dried chilli last night on my chicken, so far so good, I will keep using it and see how it goes.

    Thanks again.

I don't think jalapenos are technically on protocol, but I've seen that a lot of people eat them anyway. You could try a little and see how your body reacts. Or just avoid them. I've been wanting them lately...but P3 is just around the corner for me!

    Hi all,

I have been eating lots of chili, fresh and pickled, home done Jalepeo's sliced and put in to egg white ommeletes, or in with a chicken and tomato dish are great, no change in weight loss, just make you feel good, Salt is the only thing that messes me up, too much and I will hold water for days, at least it is only water and not fat.

I have so far averaged 1.66 pound per day on the HCG diet, 25 pound gone only 12 pound to go.

Look out Paleo diet and Crossfit training then.

I personally eat a LOT of chili's & salsa on this diet! I'll roast my own chili's, dice up jalapeno's & make a pico de gallo & I also eat pickled jalapeno's with no problem. Of course this would be "rogue" especially since I mix my veggies but it works for some people & not for others. I would say unless you have a problem with stalling or not loosing weight after eating them... then that would be the only reason not to eat them! I know a lot of people on this forum eat pickeles, but it varies for everyone.

I have noticed when I do eat spicy foods (for some reason on HCG spicy things seems REALLY spicy!!!) particularly adding peppers in... I have really good loses! I know spicy peppers in general are a metabolism booster =)
