    Salad Dressing?

    This recipe doesn't QUITE fit the bill - but, hey - no oil in it.

    Started at 194.2. Am at 160.4 now!

    Humm... Avocado is considered as a healthy fat. Kinda the same thing as oil in by book.

    Anywho, sounds yummy but I wonder how long it will last in the frig. Avocado starts to turn brown in the frig after a couple hours. I'd hate this creamy green dressing to start to look like a brown sludge after a few hours.

    If you decide to try, report about it. With the avocado it's okay P3 but not P2.

    Last night I made the most delicious dressing... 1/4 cup water, a splash of ACV, tsp of diced garlic, tsp of spicy brown mustard, a pinch of black pepper, a touch of stevia for some sweetness, and 2 tsp (more if you want) of a herb blend (mine had basil, oregano, and something else no carbs, no sugar).. I think that was it. Threw everything in my little blender and WALA!

    Delish!

    It may be a bit rouge but much better tasting than Skinny Girl dressing that I was trying to choke down yesterday...lol

    the acid in the vinegar should prevent browning of the avocado, but yeah, I think the fat would tip my scale up lol! Ibu***, that sounds good, I'll try it....some of the 'sugar/carb/fat/etc-free' dressings I have bought and tried are just....<barf> lol

    For one similar to lbu***'s, I've made dressing by mixing apple cider vinegar with mustard powder and orange juice (you have to eat orange as your fruit for that meal and squeeze some of the juice out of it). Often I add herbs, salt, pepper, onion powder, etc. It'd be better with a drop or two of stevia, too, but stevia tastes like soap to me so I don't use it.

    I've also pureed strawberries and balsamic vinegar in the blender to make a dressing. I'm pretty sure I got that idea from someone on these boards.
