Tuna is specifically listed in the protocol as a fish to avoid.

All the best on your round! HCG is the only way to lose weight that works for me as well.

It doesn't really matter. If its not on the allowed list, it is off protocol.
Its not really a gray area, as albacore is tuna, just another variety of tuna.

If you choose to eat it, you may do fine, or it may stall you. You may do fine in the low calorie phase, but it could affect your stabilization. We don't really know. What we know is that after a bunch of testing different foods, Dr. simeon chose the ones that helped the protocol work the best, and eliminated ones that seemed to hinder it. Unfortunately, he didn't leave us a list of specific rejects which might have shown us which were rejected because they affected the protocol negatively, or whether they were just neutral.

You can give it a try if you like and see how you do, but that means you will be experimenting on yourself.

It is not on protocol but my first and second round of hcg my clinic allowed it so i did eat water packed tuna. Not sure if it was albacore which is more white fish than regular. Either way it was okay for me and handy becquse i could carry it with me while traveling. Subsequent rounds i did not eat it but losses were similar in either case. If u are steictly protocol then don't try it. If u want to experiment then just watch the scale and see if it works okay for you. Much success to you.
