    Starting my hCG diet-

Today is my 2nd day of getting my hGC injection. Tomorrow will be my 3rd day of my hGC injection and that means that I get to start on the 500 calorie diet.

On Sunday morning I weighed my self first thing in the morning right after emptying my bladder. I weighed 214.6lbs. On Monday morning before injecting myself with hCG I weighed 213.6lbs. Today in the morning right after emptying my bladder I weighed 216.4lbs. Just an hour ago I weighed 221.4lbs right after eating a desert.

The question is this supposed to happen during the first two days of hCG diet that you gain a lot of weight?
Why is this happening to me?

You can expect to gain 1-3 pounds or more in the two days of loading. That is normal. Some will gain a lot more, some may even lose during the 2 loading days. If there is a massive gain, it usually means you ate something during your load that caused and inflammation response in your body. This is not fat--it is water retention caused by inflammation.

Only go by your morning weight. During the the day, fluid weight can vary wildly.

Don't worry about the weight gain, it will come off in the first day or two of the very low calorie diet. Just do you best to load well and not think about it. Loading to capacity with fattening foods will make your first week of phase 2 much more comfortable, so don't restrict. When you have some room, eat something.

I've had rounds where I gained 4 pounds loading, and after 1 day of the low calorie phase, I lost 5 pounds.

There are a number of people in the June Loaders thread who are in Phase 2 currently, you are welcome to join them, or the new July group has a thread and is just getting started if you like.

As of now I'm on my break from my job and just had my lunch which was 100 grams of boiled chicken and 2 cups of spinach sprinkled with 2 tbsp of raw organic apple cider vinegar. I got up this morning and weighed 216.4 lbs right after emptying my bladder.

So far right after my breakfast I stated to have hunger pains. How long will they last?

And now you begin the exciting journey where you know the scale is going to drop. It looks like you had a fairly normal load weight gain, so that 2 pounds should come off after the first day or two.

Its normal to have some hunger the first week of the low calorie phase as your body adjusts to the changes the HCG is making. But it should be easy to ignore. Sometimes drinking some water or hot tea will help.

May I ask what dose (in iu ) are you on?

I'm currently injecting 125IU of hCG daily.

I don't know if it's because a lack of good night's sleep that I feel weak. I've heard and read that people who are in the hCG diet do feel energized, no hunger, full of energy.

Thats a good dose, most do well on their first round with either 150iu or 125iu. So it's probably just the detox from the load and your body getting used to the changes the HCG is making.

You can get those feel goods right away, or sometimes you have to wait a few days. By the end of the week, you should be feeling all of that.

Add a little mineral salt (pink or grey salt) to your water if you are drinking more than you normally do, that could help with the weakness.

Hope you sleep better tonight. Sleeping well is important to weight loss.

I woke up today and right after emptying my bladder. I weight 212.8 lbs. I feel less hunger than compared to yesterday. I still feel a little weak at times answered feel like resting some more. How can you tell if I'm losing abnormal fat rather than normal fat? I thought that whenever one's on the hCG diet they feel tired, weak, and hungry while at the same time losing the weight. Their actually losing normal structural fat. When you feel no hunger, energized, and lose weight that means that your losing the abnormal structural fat right?

That 4 pound loss is mostly water weight from inflammation. But after your first day, you lost your load weight plus 2 more pounds. That's pretty cool, isn't it?

Don't worry about not feeling energetic for a few days. That is normal. Headaches are also normal. If you are not so hungry you can't ignore it, its most likely that the weakness is related to your body adjusting to the HCG. Even when you are feeling good on HCG, you are going to feel like resting sometimes, and if you try to push your endurance limits, you'll quickly find you don't have the energy for that.

After the first 4-5 days on the low calorie diet, if you are still having those issues, we should look at it, but you are on a good dose, so my thought it that it will all even out in a few days.

If you are on a dose that is causing the wrong kind of fat loss, your hunger and/or weakness will be extreme. Its the kind of hunger that is actually painful it is so intense. And it doesn't go away when you eat.

If you are drinking way more water now than you are used to, the weakness might be remedied by supplementing some magnesium and potassium, and adding some mineral salt (pink or grey) to your water. (1/4 tsp. a couple times a day should be enough)

If you are worried about it, you can skip your dose tomorrow and test. It is possible that 150iu might be a better starting dose for you. If you decide to do that, pay careful attention to how you feel after 4PM and into the evening (assuming you take your dose in the AM). If you feel markedly hungrier and weaker, you can increase your dose the next day.

Skipping a day won't slow your weight loss, as the HCG is already built up in your system after 4 doses.

Yesterday I had my appointment at the hCG clinic. I told them about feeling weak, and tired. They told me that it's the sexton effects from the hCG since I ate all the crappy foods during the loading days. So they gave me a vitamin B13 shot for free. I felt a little better. As of today mid morning I'm almost starting to feel like my old self, but I still lose my energy. I woke up this morning and weigh 209.2 lbs. as for my hunger I don't feel that much hunger compared to what I've felt on Wednesday.

Is it common to feel depressed? Since I felt that way yesterday seeing that both my brother and my mom can eat whatever they want. I keep thinking to myself of how im going to eat all organic delicious foods whenever I'm finished with the protocol.

You are losing very rapidly. That tells me you have a lot of inflammation that is clearing out with water loss. That could definitely be why you are feeling the detoxing effects of the first couple of days. There is likely something that you have been eating regularly that your body doesn't like, and if you also ate tons of it during loading, that could cause a big reaction.

Once you get finished with your round, you can test some of your favorite foods and you may be able to figure it out. But for now, just enjoy that your body is responding positively to the HCG by releasing a lot of inflammation.

You can have some depression at the beginning, as all kinds of things are changing in your body, you can feel out of balance. It shouldn't last more than a few days though.

If the vitamin B12 shot made you feel better, you might be deficient. How would you describe the hunger you are having now? And when does it happen?

Well I would describe my hunger not as bad and highly intense as on Wednesday when I started the 500 calorie diet it was my 3rd day of hCG. My hunger usually happens during around 9 am just before I get my break at work and have lunch. Today I felt a slightly more hunger right before my break at 10am. I'm eating lunch as of now.

Yesterday right after my break during the lunch hour I had tons of energy. Then my energy went down.

As of today I weighed myself 207.2lbs right after emptying my bladder.

Since you are still in your first week, and your hunger seems to go away after eating, I think you will be ok in a few days and the hunger should pretty much go away except for a little right before normal meal times. That kind of hunger is normal on HCG. There is an empty feeling you can have on HCG that is not hunger, but I think when you get it, its a sign that you are losing that day.

It might help you to break up your meals and eat 4 or 5 times a day. It can help keep blood sugar levels more steady. I do it this way: apple for breakfast, protein and veggie for lunch & dinner, an afternoon snack of fruit and melba, and an evening snack of fat-free broth and another melba. But you can break it up anyway you like as long as you don't eat both of any one kind of item at the same meal.
